Sean and I put the trail camera up near the cottage off the upper east pass for 2 weeks. We got some surprising results including deer and a Jay which is quite rare. Mice and Magpies were plentiful as expected.

Killeagh Glenbower Wood Springwatch 2015 Ducklings
Settled on a fallen-down log close to the Dissour river Paudi Lee stumbled on a lone female Mallard duck sitting on 10 eggs. With very little disturbance we erected a trail camera programmed to take pictures and videos at regular intervals throughout the day and night for 15 days. Paudi, Sean and Neville monitored the spot continuously to make sure she wasn't disturbed. The result was stunning.

Killeagh Glenbower Wood Deer Trail
Sean and I managed these pics after a tip-off by Fintan McCarthy. Fallow deer are numerous in the wood but are very shy. These pics were taken on a farm at the edge of the wood where the deer were enjoying lush new grazing destined for cattle. Fallow deer are not indigenous to Ireland.
