How to make Glenfiddich Whisky: Daily Planet goes to Scotland
Glenfiddich of Dufftown, Scotland, is one of the last family-run single malt whisky distilleries – churning it out for almost 130 years. Launched in 1887 by William Grant, a maverick of his time - today, the process remains largely unchanged and the same passion is passed down to generations of craftsmen. Daily Planet gets a taste of what it takes to makes the “water of life”.

Whiskynamen richtig aussprechen - Dufftown

Dramathon 10k - Aberlour to Glenfiddich
This is a short video of my visit to Dufftown in Moray to take part in the amazing Dramathon 10k trail run on Saturday 20 October 2018.
You can take part in the marathon, half marathon, marathon relay or 10k. There was also a Dramathon wildlife walk. For every distillery you run past, you get the whisky miniature in your goody bag at the end.

Glenfiddich is the biggest selling malt whisky worldwide and remains Scottish owned and independent.
For 20 years William Grant nurtured a dream to make the ‘best dram in the valley’. With the help of his family, he finally achieved that vision.
In the summer of 1886, with his seven sons and two daughters by his side, William set out to fulfil a lifelong ambition. Together they began building his Distillery by hand, stone by stone. After a single year of work it was ready and William named it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer.
Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family owned and is now the World's Most Awarded Single Malt* Scotch Whisky, a true reflection of the founder’s innovative nature, passed down through the generations.
