Glenmaggie Weir Gippsland Australia

Lake Glenmaggies is situated in Gippsland Australia. The closest towns being Heyfield and Maffra.

Lake Glenmaggie and the weir were formed when the Macalister River was dammed, Construction of the Glenmaggie Dam commenced in 1919, was completed in 1927 and constructed by the State Rivers and Water Supply Commission of Victoria.

Today Glenmaggie Weir is popular for water sports such as skiing and jet skiing. There are two caravan parks located on the shores of the lake.

Fished Glenmaggie for bass, in some pretty choppy conditions from ski boats, jet skis and wake boats.
Fishing with my mate Pud.
Fish were hard to find on the banks.
Found them on the points schooled up.
Got over 40 for the day but couldn't get any big ones (over 40cm). Got 2 big carp on lure as well and a couple reddies. Enjoy.
