Tabitha, Abilash and me set out on a drive to Glenmorgan estates and village and to spend a day in Ooty. I never leave any opportunity to VLOG and so here is the Ooty - Glenmorgan video for you. This also is my 100th episode which makes this even more special. In this VLOG we will drive to Ooty via Betaty and then drive to Glenmorgan, making pit-stops in between and blending as one with nature. PS: This VLOG was shot in December 2016

Udagamandalam abbreviated as Udhagai and popularly known as Ooty, is a town and a municipality in the Indian State of Tamil Nadu. It is a popular hill station located in the Nilgiri Hills. Originally occupied by the Toda people, the area came under the rule of the East India Company at the end of the 18th century. The economy is based on tourism and agriculture, along with the manufacture of medicines and photographic film. The town is connected by the Nilgiri ghat roads and Nilgiri Mountain Railway. Its natural environment attracts tourists and it is a popular summer destination.

The video diary contains a trek to a virgin exotic peak near ooty which the locals call as Glen morgans peak and it has not been seen by many. The wildlife , nature, the peaceful environment and the view gives a wonderful experience that makes the trek really awesome and a must go place.

Ooty is situated in the Nilgiri hills. The name meaning blue mountains in Sanskrit and most other Indian languages might have arisen from the blue smoky haze given off by the eucalyptus trees that cover the area or from the Kurunji flower, which blooms every twelve years and gives the slopes a bluish tinge.Because of the mountains and green valleys, Ooty became known as the Queen of Hill Stations.

Ooty, also known as Udhagamandalam, is a hill station in the state of Tamil Nadu, in southern India. Surrounded by trees, central Ooty Lake is a huge artificial expanse of water with pleasure boats. On the slopes of nearby Elk Hill, the Rose Garden is home to over 2,000 varieties of roses. The Government Botanical Garden, created in the 19th century, features ferns, orchids and a prehistoric, fossilized tree.

Pykara is the name of a village and river 19 kilometres from Ooty in the Indian State of Tamil Nadu.The Pykara River is considered very sacred by the Todas.It rises at Mukurthi peak, flows northwards, and then turns to the west after reaching the edge of the plateau. The river flows through Murkurti, Pykara and Glenmorgan dams, and forms part of an important hydro-electric power project.
