Gloucester and Sharpness Canal - Full Length Walk
Travel the full length of the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal via this video. For much of its 16.5 mile length it runs close to the tidal River Severn, but cuts off a significant loop in the river, at a once-dangerous bend near Arlingham. Also featuring Purton hulks (ships graveyard) along with in depth features at Sharpness & Gloucester Docks.
Sharpness Canal & Ship's Graveyard River Severn Gloucestershire UK
This is one of my favourite walks along the canal. Today the weather was so calm, no wind or breeze. It was perfect. I walked along to the Hulks or the Ships Graveyard. find out more here
I could see the little train over on the other shore, I really want to go on that train.

Gloucester, South West England, Gloucestershire UK TRAVEL VIDEO
The origins of the name Gloucester can be traced to Caerloyw in the modern Welsh.
The city is located on the eastern bank of the River Severn, sheltered by the Cotswolds to the east, while the Forest of Dean and the Malvern Hills rise to the west and north, respectively. Gloucester is a port, linked via the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal which runs from Gloucester's docks to the Severn Estuary, allowing larger ships to reach the docks than would be possible on the tidal reaches of the river itself, which go well north of the city to Haw Bridge.

Part 2 of the journey from Gloucester to Sharpness in late Autumn, this is Saul Junction to Sharpness, filmed in real time and with many weather changes in just 1 hour and 44 minutes! Wye Invader Two saw sunshine, blue skies, dark clouds, wind and rain before reaching Sharpness.
10. Narrowboat Gloucester & Sharpness Canal & Railway Disaster
We've navigated to the end of the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal to the Sharpness Docks. I discover what's at the end of the canal and see the remains of the Severn Railway Bridge devastated in the 1960's by barges crashing into it's supporting columns. I walk along the longest village green in England, which is a true example of picture postcard English village. I also discuss the bad sides of the canal including the bobbing up and down and the rude rowers.
