After very heavy overnight rain we open up with the groundsman of Ashburnham Golf Club clearing excess water from the surface of a putting green, as 66034 leads 66192 on the 03.24 Margam to Margam via Tenby Railhead Treatment Train (RHTT) cleans the rails as it passes through Pembrey in Carmarthenshire at 08.57 on its return to Margam. Thanks to Alan (balmesh) for the nod.

Wrexham

Wrexham is a town in north Wales. It is the administrative centre of the wider Wrexham County Borough, located in the east of the region. It is situated between the Welsh mountains and the lower Dee Valley alongside the border with Cheshire, England. As the largest town in the north of Wales, it is a major centre of the region's administrative, commercial, retail and educational infrastructure.
At the time of the United Kingdom Census 2011, the Wrexham locality had a population of 61,603 as defined by the Office for National Statistics; the larger urban area had a population of 65,692, the fourth-largest in Wales.

Llanelli

Llanelli, the largest town in both the county of Carmarthenshire and the preserved county of Dyfed, Wales, sits on the Loughor estuary on the West Wales coast, approximately 10 miles west-northwest of Swansea and 12 miles south-east of the county town, Carmarthen. The town is famous for its proud rugby tradition and is a centre of tinplate production.
In the mid-20th century, Llanelli was the largest town in the world where more than half the population spoke a Celtic language. It is ranked the 7th largest urban area in Wales. According to the 2011 UK Census returns, 23.7% of Llanelli town residents could speak the Welsh language.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.

- increases imagination and understanding

- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain

SUMMARY

This is a list of heritage, private and preserved railways throughout the United Kingdom and the Crown dependencies whether operational or former, for charitable purposes or shareholder profit. Some also provide a local economic transport purpose. For rail museums, see List of British railway museums.
Many of the standard-gauge railways listed (thus including former branch lines and ex-mainline routes) were closed by British Railways (later shortened to British Rail) under the Beeching Axe of the 1960s. Others later or earlier closed. All ceased their public financing with up-to-date rolling stock and often avoided electrification and electronic signals to be restored and operated as heritage lines. A smaller number of lines were formerly both industrial and colliery railways.
Many of these preserved railways and railway centres such as stations, engineering workshops and collections of old locomotives are mentioned in national and international tour guides, and visits may form part of a school curriculum and centres of other studies including in civil engineering, mechanics, social, economic and political history, visual arts and drama.
