Walking Tour of Halifax and Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia
This is kind of a tour/history lesson of our experience in Halifax and beautiful Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia. It was the second stop on our cruise from Boston to Montreal and we only had part of one day to see what we could see. The lighthouse and town of Peggy's Cove is about a 45 minute drive by bus from Halifax so that chewed up part of the day. Halifax is a bustling tourist area that was made even more busy with our cruise ship in port. We didn't have time to see any museums but our goal was to walk around as much of the city as we could in the few hours we had available. The waterfront boardwalk is a must-see and, if you get the chance, stop at the immigration museum.

We had a great time this past weekend visiting Blomidon Estate Winery, Planters Ridge Winery, and Gaspereau Vineyards with Uncork NS by Go North Tours. It was a great way to visit some wineries to try some wines and a safe way to get to and from the Annapolis Valley. We highly recommend it.

Nova Scotia Road Trip Guide
A Nova Scotia road trip is the perfect introduction into the Maritime region of Canada. Nova Scotia, which means “New Scotland” has a significant Scottish influence while also being known as Canada’s ocean playground.
I road tripped around many areas of Nova Scotia and have put together what I think is the perfect 7-day Nova Scotia Road Trip. For a detailed outline of this road trip, visit:

BEST OF HALIFAX IN 3 DAYS, PEGGY'S COVE, MAHONE BAY - NOVA SCOTIA
HALIFAX, PEGGY'S COVE, MAHONE BAY - NOVA SCOTIA
Highlights/attractions
DAY 1 – AUG 4, 2019
Flight from Toronto to Halifax
8:00 am – leave Toronto
11:04 am – arrive Halifax
(Flight 2 hrs)
The best way to start a trip to Halifax is by strolling along the four-kilometre Harbourwalk. Start off at the Farmers’ Market and the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21. The boardwalk ends at the Historic Properties, where three blocks-worth of warehouses and Victorian-era buildings dating back to the 1700s have been beautifully restored.
DAY 2 – AUG 5, 2019
Best of Halifax E-Bike Tour (2.5 hrs)
After E-bike tour we went to:
1. Mahone Bay
2. Lunenburg
3. Peggy's Cove
DAY 3 – AUG 6, 2019
Pleasant Park
Point Pleasant Park is the largest green space on Peninsular Halifax with over 39 km of trails and 75-hectares in size. Black Rock Beach is located at the base for swimming.
The Public Gardens
Founded in 1867 the public gardens is the oldest Victorian Gardens in North America and the latin on the gates “E Mari Mereces” translates into wealth from the sea.
Halifax may be a relatively laid-back city, but it can still get a bit hectic in spots like the waterfront, particularly during the busy summer months. For a reprieve from the crowds, head up to the Halifax Public Gardens along Spring Garden Road.
Spring Garden Road (next to The Public Gardens)
Spring Garden Road is Halifax’s prime shopping district. The name is due to the natural spring that is said to run beneath it.

Nova Scotia tourism is hard to beat. From all the things to do in Halifax to incredible Canada road trips in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia is an incredible province to explore.
Special Note: We just released the Canada Saver Card, a physical discount card that gets you discounts at a variety of attractions, adventures, and activities across Canada! From helicopter tours to rafting, fishing, museums, and horseback rides, save money on all of them for $27!
Welcome to Nova Scotia!
From May 27th to June 6th, 2017, we toured Nova Scotia as part of the Road to 150 campaign. It was our second province during our 150-day road trip and what an incredible time we had. From the absolute natural beauty of Cape Breton Highlands National Park to the historic beauty of Halifax, the small-town charm of Lunenburg, and the excitement of tidal bore rafting, Nova Scotia is an incredible province to explore. Although we accomplished a lot in ten days, we really only scratched the surface of this incredible east coast province. Whether you're looking for that laid back East Coast charm, maritime history, or incredible natural wonders, Nova Scotia is the place to visit!
Canada's Road to 150 was a 150-day Canada-wide multimedia road trip celebrating Canada's 150th birthday by exploring the uniqueness of this country provincially and collectively while answering the question; What makes Canada special?
We drove to and through every driveable province and territory, showcasing Canada's natural beauty and regional attractions while interviewing Canadians of all cultures and backgrounds, including local celebrities, immigrants, refugees, and everyday rural and urban Canadians. Our aim was to dig deep into what makes Canada such an incredibly inspiring country while showing off the best of Canada's tourism to Canadians and to the world.

Why some people HATE Halifax | Life in Halifax, Nova Scotia
Although I consider Halifax to be a nice place, some people really don't like living in Halifax. Instead of ignoring those comments, I thought about addressing them and making a thoughtful response to them in this video. Not everybody who watches my videos has to love Halifax or want to move to Halifax.
My goal with this channel is to educate people about Canada and provide mostly objective, practical advice. Of course I'm going to show you the world through my eyes and experience though. If you don't expect that, you should go watch the news instead.
Nevertheless, the hate comments about Halifax aren't junk. They have some merit and I address that in this video, even if I fundamentally disagree with the outlook and framing of those comments. This is a place you should feel comfortable to discuss issues you feel are important and I will never shame you for your opinions.

NASA North?...Canso Nova Scotia could be the place
I wanted to take a trip to Canso, Nova Scotia because it sounds like NASA North is going to exist in Canso. That means a ton of more money and the place will change over time. It’s been a while since I’ve been there so I thought I would go back and shoot some video for you and then I’ll return in a couple of years and see if it has changed. It is beautiful… And it is quiet

Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Economy, Best Time To Travel
Halifax is the capital city of Nova Scotia and the largest city in the Atlantic Provinces of Canada. Halifax is a busy Atlantic seaport and the economic and cultural hub of Eastern Canada. Halifax is a major economic centre in Atlantic Canada with a large concentration of government services and private sector companies.
LOCATION
The city of Halifax is on Halifax Peninsula, on the west side of the harbour, with Dartmouth to the east. The main landmark is the Halifax Citadel, on a high hill above the city, and it conveniently divides the city into three districts. The downtown core is sandwiched between the Citadel and the harbour, making navigation a snap.
HISTORY
modern Halifax was founded on June 21, 1749 as a British military outpost. In the 19th and early 20th century, Halifax was the entry point for European immigration to Canada. Halifax proved its worth during the Seven Years' War against the French and later in the American Revolutionary War. The first permanent European settlement in the region was on the Halifax Peninsula.
CLIMATE
Halifax has a maritime climate, tempered by its position near the North Atlantic. Summers are pleasant although occasionally humid, and winters are relatively mild, but wet, snowy and windy. January is the coldest month, being the only month with a high that is slightly below freezing at −0.1 °C, while August is the warmest. Snowfall is heavy in winter. August being the year's warmest and driest month on average.
BEST TIME
The best time to visit Halifax is May through October. Summer and fall experience pleasant weather and usher in numerous festivals. However, these months also attract lots of tourists, so be prepared for steep hotel rates. If you're looking to avoid the crowds and the high prices, visit between November and February.
ECONOMY
The urban area of Halifax is a major economic centre in eastern Canada with a large concentration of government services and private sector companies. Halifax serves as the business, banking, government and cultural centre for the Maritime region. Agriculture, fishing, mining, forestry and natural gas extraction are major resource industries found in the rural areas of the municipality. Halifax is one of Canada's top four container ports in terms of the volume of cargo handled.
TOURISM
Halifax's tourism industry showcases Nova Scotia's culture, scenery and coastline. There are several museums and art galleries in downtown Halifax. Halifax has numerous National Historic Sites, most notably Citadel Hill (Fort George). Just outside the urban area, the iconic Peggys Cove is internationally recognized and receives more than 600,000 visitors a year. The waterfront in Downtown Halifax is the site of the Halifax Harbourwalk, popular amongst tourists and locals

Halifax, Nova Scotia.. I'm leaving
GET SKILLSHARE FREE FOR 2 MONTHS:
I've been feeling pretty burned out lately. For four years, I've been juggling journalism at the University of King's College in Halifax, Nova Scotia and my multiple business opportunities. I've been dividing myself between teaching courses, providing digital marketing services on nadernejadmedia.com and making content on YouTube for international students.
I've noticed that I'm starting to work even harder now and I'm getting less results than before.. I'm exhausted. Not only am I exhausted, but I've plateaued. I'm not making more money in my business, my content is about a whole bunch of different things and I can't take on big game journalism opportunities because I'm so immersed in the marketing world and don't have enough journalistic focus at school. I found out the other day that I would not be able to intern at the CBC because my school would not recommend me.
So, I'm back to the drawing board and looking ahead. I'm ready to finish school, get my degree and go all in the marketing world. That being said, the last thing I want to do is change my content and style again. I'm still going to be the same Nader. I just won't be in Halifax after May 2019 and I won't be making random content about everything. All of my business will become marketing as I focus on scaling my business and building an empire for the next decade.
This channel will become a vlog channel where I talk about my pursuit building my business and take you on my adventures - always offering you advice and the same old helping hand.
Thank you for sticking around. I hope by cutting down on some of the things that I'm doing, that I'll be able to feel less burned out and see more success in my business and my life. I'm done running on the hamster wheel. I want to be a big shot and I want to take you with me. Nobody will give me opportunities, so I'm making them myself.
I'm leaving Halifax Nova Scotia, but you can still ask me for help. Check my videos on moving to Halifax, living in Halifax, lifestyle in Halifax and much more.
