Ziplining Tour GoMaya Belize Adventures
Getting There: The adventure begins at 9:00AM with a pick up at your hotel or in San Ignacio Town. We embark on our journey out of San Ignacio on an hour and 15 minutes’ drive along the George Price Highway (paved road) until arriving at the junction of the Jaguar Paw Cave Tubing outpost. The drive into the site’s parking lot is another 10 minutes or so on paved road.
At the Zip Line Course: At the park, we unboard our vehicle and make our way over to the zip line check-in station where skilled guides will brief you on safety procedures while fitting you with their own helmets, harnesses, and gloves. We then head out on a very short hike through the jungle onto the starting point. The first line is a teaser to get you hyped up. There are 6 rounds in total, each lasting about 12 seconds and covering 40 – 300 feet of cable. The highest you will fly over the jungle is about 150 feet high. The two lengths take you soaring over the caves branch river in an exhilarating and scenic glide. The entire course lasts about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the amount of persons in your party.
Departure: After our zipline adventure, we walk back to the parking lot where we board our vehicle and head back onto San Ignacio via the George Price Highway, arriving around. This adventure is normally done in combination with other half day tours such as Cave Tubing, Xunantunich, Cahal Pech, & The Belize Zoo.
Duration: Approx. 3.5 to 4 hours total.
Difficulty level – Moderate
What to bring: Action Camera, light clothing, hiking shoes (no flip-flops).
Provided: Helmets, harness, gloves.
Note: This tour is not for persons with disabilities, heart conditions, back or leg problems. All guests must be in good physical condition. Not suitable for pregnant women.

San Ignacio Market, Cayo, Belize
The weekly Saturday market in San Ignacio, Cayo, is not only the source of groceries, but also the source of much social life in this small town. Despite its small size, (20,000 including neighboring sister city Santa Elena), San Ignacio is nonetheless the second largest town in Belize and home to its largest market.
The fruits and vegetables of this rich agricultural region are on display in abundance and freshness.

San Ignacio, Belize
This is the second half to my Belize trip. San Ignacio is about a 2hr drive from Belize City. Here I went on adventures to several Maya Ruins. Hope you enjoy! I
San Ignacio, Belize.
Mixy and I created a good bond riding around, adventuring. She was fast but trustworthy.
Most Mayan history is still covered under many years of dirt and soil, as time on earth has passed by. This helps preserve the ancient creations for our future generations to experience, observe and study. Everything about the ancient civilization you would need to know is etched in the walls of stone.
The San Ignacio locals have big and welcoming hearts to everyone. The people emphasize in getting to know you in trade of learning the history of their ancestors. It was a very valuable solo trip I went on. One day I will return back to learn more of the history and hopefully let Mixy give me one more ride to the ancient temples.

Arriving in San Ignacio, Belize during Semana Santa
I arrive to my last stop in Belize, San Ignacio during Semana Santa. This is the most important holiday of the year and it is traditional to travel during long weekends. Some towns can be very hard to find accommodation or anything open. I planned to be in San Ignacio because it is touristic, has more hotels and there is lots to do. I'm also planning how to get to Tikal in Guatemala and then Palenque Mayan Ruin sites in Mexico.

We are on a weekend trip to San Ignacio, Belize during our long term stay in Chetumal, Mexico. We have just one weekend to hit everything we love about Belize, and the food is at the top of our list.
But, of course, after we eat we need a place to stay! This time around, we are staying at Cahal Pech Village Resort but we’re also going to visit an old friend at our absolute favorite stay in San Ignacio, at Hannah Stables. Both of these places we found on Airbnb.
