Bat Island
The Bat Island is famous for snorkeling and is considered a perfect destination for the snorkelers. For snorkeling, the training and equipment are provided by the tour organizers and operators. The island provides a very interesting stopover along the Goan coast and can be reached by a 30 minute ride into the sea.
If you wish to visit the Bat Island in Goa, it would be best to put up in one of the hotels in Goa near Vasco Da Gama. The Island is surrounded by vivid coral reef. It would be a delightful experience to explore this magnificent star coral, brain coral, sea fans, sea whips and many other sea creatures while snorkeling in the Island. Apart from these, hundreds of colorful shoals can be seen swimming just near you. There are parrot fish, angel fish, squirrel fish, butterfly fish, groupers, snappers, trigger fish, lobsters, hawksbill turtle, sea cucumbers and sea urchins that you can see while you are exploring the sea. A visit to this beautiful Island will definitely be a fascinating and an unforgettable experience.
Hansa Beach
Hansa Beach is extremely beautiful and tranquil beach. Hansa Beach is not part of commercial and public beaches of Goa. Hansa is a clean beach with pristine waters. However the beach is controlled by the Indian navy wing due to its location to close proximity to major naval installations in the area. The navy regularly cleans up the beach to ensure it remains spotless clean. Access to the beach is through the INS Hansa Naval base beside the Naval Aviation Museum.
This beach is safe for swimming and is free from the flowing currents. The long stretch of the sand at the beach is best for long walks. It is believed that this beach has access of naval personnel and their families only.

Baina Beach near Vasco-da-Gama Goa
Baina beach is very near (2 km) to Vasco da Gama railway station. This is a sandy beach. The beach road is temporarily spoiled because of flyover construction. There is a jetty near the beach but that was not operational. Lot of people visit here because of proximity to township. If you have time in Vasco it will be a good idea to visit this beach. Earlier this was a red light area, but since 2004 the red light area is removed and the place is becoming normal.

I flew in to the Goa International Airport, Vasco-da-gama, Goa, India this afternoon around 1730 IST from the West, over the Arabian Sea.
I was fortunate enough to be sitting on the right side and to have a clear view with open skies which helped me make this video.
