Occurred on December 23, 2017 / Goat Island, Northern Territory, Australia
I was visiting Goat Island with family and King Kai, the owner of the property, calls a croc named Casey out of the water. The dog gets a little jealous and chases the 3.5 meter croc back into the river!

NT Nomad Episode 16
The Territory is full of hidden gems especially Kai Hansen and his pet crocodile Casey who live on Goat Island on the Adelaide River.
Small dog taunted crocodile for years — until the croc finally lost its patience (WARNING: GRAPHI
A crocodile pounced on a beloved dog and devoured it after years of enduring the poochs taunts as stunned onlookers watched on in horror at a lodge in Australia. The dog named Pippa had been toying with the dangerous creature before finally meeting its end during a recent encounter which was caught on video. It was something that had a high probability of happening sometime Pippa's owner Kai Hansen told ABC in Australia.Little Pippa spent years running at Casey the crocodile at Goat Island Lodge near Darwin. Casey would usually run back into the river but this time the croc took Pippa along. She's not doing something wrong she's just doing what crocs do Hansen told ABC. In the early days she actually had a go at me a couple of times. These days I just throw food out from up the top and no one is allowed to walk down there. The relationship between the reptile and the dog became well known in the region with ABC filming the pair's antics last year.Hansen told ABC radio he is really sad about what happened and has not watched the video. He plans to get another dog.He was widely criticized on social media for putting Pippa in harm's way.Going near water where there's crocodiles is a really dangerous thing to do and we always encourage people stay away from the water just in general but if you've got a dog with you you're just compounding that risk crocodile expert Adam Britton told ABC.

Good Snapper while Fishing Motuora
Australia and the Solomon Islands in the early 1970's. Film 32064
Kangaroo. A young family's amateur home movie in an Australian nature park and in the Solomon Islands.
Young mother Lyn Ward and her little boy Peter Ward pat a small kangaroo at a native wildlife park, two emus in the next enclosure look on curiously. Peter is near the kangaroo, it moves forward and Lyn pats it. Blonde Peter pats the kangaroo. A small wallaby has a joey in her pouch which is obviously far too big to fit comfortably. The mother's stomach looks huge. A close-up shot shows just the tips of the joey's too-long legs sticking out of the mothers pouch. A pigeon sits on a branch of a tree, blue sky and gum trees are in the background.
The sign on a fence reads Jack the Stripper. A crocodile lies behind the wire fence in the late afternoon sun. A tortoise swims in a concrete water tank. Lyn Ward and Peter look at the crocodile. A buzzard sits on a branch in a bird enclosure. A sign on a fence says Dingoes. Two camel-coloured dingoes slink about in a wire enclosure that has a concrete floor. A kangaroo scratches in the dirt of its enclosure. Ken Ward and Peter are with an emu. Ken and Peter pat small wallabies. Ken crouches beside the marsupials, Peter wanders about. A bird, possibly a brolga, stands in a pen. A pea hen? A lovely close shot of a pink-crested cockatoo. A pink and grey galah scratches his beak with his claw. An emu comes up and investigates the camera and nearly enters the lens.
Lyn feed small monkeys in a cage. Peter wants to feed them too. Lyn holds Peter up to the primates and they grab the peanuts and deftly break the shell and gobble them. The adult and the baby monkeys enjoy the nuts in their tiny wire cages. Lyn Ward pats a young pelican. She follows and pats the pelican but it appears nervous and moves away from her. A duck or a goose looks at itself in a reflective glass. Lyn and Peter pat the goat that wants to be involved in their looking at a small animal in an enclosure.
A road in the Solomon Islands. A white house with writing on the outside walls, built of timber and high above the ground. Peter Ward and Lyn stand on the top of the steps of the house, Peter is cross and pulls faces and refuses to cooperate with the filming. Lyn stands at the top of the steps, she has rollers in her hair. Peter is coy and sits on one of the steps and refuses to show his face.
An older man is driving a car. The car pulls up at a dusty rural spot, it is a brown Australian Holden utility with a tarpaulin covering on the back, it pulls up near a boat with an outboard motor on it. The man gets out of the vehicle. He and another man stand beside the motor boat which is on a boat trailer. Trailer and boat are backed by a light truck down a concrete ramp into the sea. The two older men discuss the boat landing. The boat is off the trailer and floats in the shallow water, one of the men holds the boat with a rope.
Birds feed near the little water holes. The older man throws a fishing net into one of the shallow ponds. He throws it in again. The motor boat is moored in the shallow water, the sky is darkening. As daylight fades, white birds sit on the rocks near the shore. A sign written by a finger in wet concrete says No alcohol allowed by order. Two simple holiday houses sit just up from the beach. The sea view from the holiday houses shows the sea a beautiful green in the dull light. The holiday shack is very basic, the corrugated iron walls are painted silver frost as is the old recycled wooden door. The boats float in the shallows.

Snorkeling in Island Bay - Wellington, New Zealand
Snorkeling in the Taputeranga Marine Reserve at Island Bay, Wellington, New Zealand.
One of my favourite things to do while on holiday in the warm waters of the Pacific Islands and South East Asia is to go snorkeling and explore under the sea. I've been fortunate to explore coral reefs and lagoons in some very beautiful locations.
One day we decided to go snorkeling in our home town of Wellington. It is something that we wouldn't normally consider due to the all year round cold temperatures of the water. We decided to go anyway. It certainly was very cold, but exploring it was worth it. Snorkeling revealed Island Bay to have a very vibrant sea weed garden, and plenty of tiny fish. We also saw a couple of big fish but the highlight was a school that swam a circle around us.

Helicopter Pub Crawl
As crazy as it sounds. Using a helicopter to fly around to five remote pubs around the top end (Darwin) of the northern territory in Australia.
Thanks to for an awesome pub crawl.
Me ( and Cameron Ernst ( went on a helicopter pub crawl starting in Darwin to five remote pubs.
Some of the highlights included Crab claw Island resort. Probably the best pub on the tour. It's like a hidden paradise. Goat Island owned by a very interesting guy called Kai. Nearest neighbour is about 12 km away and you have to use a boat or helicopter to get to the island. So you can have a party and make as much noise and nobody will care. Litchfield hotel, you land in the beed garden, friendly buffalo to pet/feed and the pub does some pretty good food.
Looking back on it. It was a fantastic time, somewhat surreal to be flying to pubs.

Croc Shows Dog Who's Boss
After nine years of yapping at crocs, it finally happened.
A saltwater crocodile has eaten a dog that made a mockery of it for years, to the horror of onlookers who captured the scene on camera, who were at first herd to say Start recording, very aware of the dogs actions to bark at the crocodile.
At Goat Island Lodge, south of Darwin in the middle of the crocodile-infested Adelaide River, guests had gathered to watch dog Pippa (aka the Dumb Blonde Dog) perform her favourite trick — running at Casey the Crocodile to scare her back into the river.
But to the alarm of those looking on, including owner Kai Hansen, Pippa ran straight at her head — and Casey did what crocs do.
The video of Pippa being dragged into the water was made worse by the screams of bystanders, but serves as a bleak warning about the river's dangers.
As owner Mr Hansen conceded, it was something that had a high probability of happening sometime.

Wild Boar Australia. 6.5 Creedmoor.
This was a nice little crusty Boar from North Queensland. Shot with a 6.5 creedmoor Weighted about 75kg's, he was in pretty good condition, considering the drought conditions we have been in for the last 5 years. Was great to see some good pig numbers.
