Gobissa ei ole autoteitä, vaan ainoastaan pelkkiä suuntia.
Risteykset tunnistaa haaraantuvista renkaan urista ja joskus tienä saattaa toimia pelkkä pelottavan kapea kanjoni.
Välimatkat tuntuvat äärettömän pitkiltä, koska neuvostovalmisteisen YAZ-jeepin takapenkillä pomppiminen vastaa monen tunnin huvipuistopyöritystä. Kilometreistä ei puhuta, koska se tuo huonoa onnea, mutta pääkaupunki Ulan Batorista Gobille ajaa kahdessa vuorokaudessa.

The Gobi Desert, spanning southern Mongolia and northern China, is a destination with a harsh climate and an array of vast landscapes. It's home to incredible sand dunes, rock canyons, valleys, dinosaur fossils and, of course, camels.
It's a fascinating region and one of Mongolia's top travel destinations! Almost every tour company offers an opportunity for travelers to experience the Gobi Desert during their visit to Mongolia, but we found that the best way to see this region was to explore it at out own pace...

Continuing from the last video :) after a struggle of 1-2 hours finally, we found Ger & a family. They offered us food, water & shelter. We have paid 600 INR to that family & in the morning we left for the Khongoryn Els
( the longest sand dunes in Mongolia ). We crossed these sand dunes by walking.

In this video, I have shared the experience of Hitchhiking in the longest sand dunes of Gobi Desert ( Khongoryn Els or Khongor Sand dunes ). It was the craziest experience of my life, we started hitchhiking from Sevri at 11:00 Pm after that, we walked for almost 12 Kilometers to reach there. During all this process we ran out of the water & after so much of struggle & hassle, we found it :)

JOURNEY TO THE GOBI | Gobi Desert, Mongolia
We have officially left Ulaanbaatar and headed into the Gobi.
It didn't take long to see all the animals that you'd expect to see in Mongolia - horses, camels, cows, sheep. We even saw a Golden Eagle from the car. We stopped by Choir Monastery, Baga Gadriin Chuluu, and hiking some of the little mountains surrounding our ger camp. We also went to Yolyn Am in the Gurvan Saikhan Mountains which was one of the most beautiful places I've seen.
For those interested, this video would be day 3-5 on the Nomadic Mongolia tour with G Adventures.

GOBI DESERT MONGOLIA 2 UP ON A BMW WORLD ADVENTURE
After spending the past week riding through the Gobi Desert in Mongolia we are now preparing for our next challenge; To ride the Road of Bones (two up) all the way to Magadan which is located in the very North East of Russia. This journey will see us ride roughly 5000km on a one way road which is predominately unsealed to reach this iconic city.
If we’re lucky upon reach Magadan, we’ll be able to find a cargo ship to transport our motorcycle “principessa” all the way down to Vladivostok so we won’t have to re-ride 3000km of the very same road.
From Vladivostok we head to Japan.

Gobi desert in Mongolia
The Mongolian government established the Great Gobi National Park in 1975 and the UNESCO designated as the Great Gobi as the fourth largest Biosphere Reserve in the world in 1991. Mongolians consider that there are 33 different Gobi, where sandy desert occupies only 3 percent of the total territory. The area is often imagined as a lifeless desert like in many other parts of the world. Gobi Desert is a land of dinosaurs and it is the home for camel breeders rich with wildlife and vegetation. Dinosaur skeletons and their petrified eggs have been preserved here to the present day. Wild asses, camels, snow leopards, mountain sheep and gazelles flourish here, as do different types of flora.

It was a hell of an experience. Extremely thankful and blessed for this adventure of a lifetime. Especially grateful for my girls - Xenia, Shu Wen and Vernice for making this trip happen, even though we're city girls. Gobi Desert was beautiful and breathtaking; the skies, the dunes, mountains and animals.
We traveled with Golden Gobi Tours, and all our meals and accommodation were provided. Meals were cooked by our guide as well.

When this was filmed in 1974-1975 it was seen as a remote and inaccessible country, a country very few westerners had visited or even seen through the media. This was the first time westerners were allowed to film inside the country, and the camera team was always accompanied by an interpreter and a TV organiser as the Mongolians were anxious to show the best possible image of the country. In this documentary, we will meet nomadic Mongolians and get a closer insight into their day to day life.
The documentary series “Disappearing World” was originally broadcasted between 1970-1975.
As an anthropological landmark of its time, the series tells the story of traditional communities endangered by the modern world’s progressions.

There we have found that we are out of cash & we don't have enough money to pay for those tourist camp, but somehow we found help & our Mongolian friend Buddh helped us in many ways.
