More of the Great KASR V Pacific Rim Road Trip: Tokyo, Japan! Home of Miami Tallahasse.
KASRV Point of Interest: Rail is the primary mode of transportation in Tokyo. Tokyo has the most extensive urban railway network in the world, including surface lines. There are 101 passenger train lines serving Tokyo, and 18 more serving the metropolitan area (首都圏)but not Tokyo, for a total of 119 serving Greater Tokyo. Despite this vastness, the network is still being expanded. Because people cannot make sense of the all inclusive Tokyo area rail map due to its vastness, each operator makes its own map, with key transfer points. Tourists are usually shown the subway map only as a means of simplicity. Rail in Japan is often extremely crowded, with people pushing their way in when completely full. Most lines in Tokyo are privately owned and operated, with the exception of Toei subway lines (run directly by the Tokyo Metropolitan government). Rail and subway lines are highly integrated and dense; commuter trains from the suburbs continue directly into the subway network on many lines, often emerging on the other side of the city to serve another company's surface line at major stations. It is estimated some 20 million people use rail as their primary means of transport (not trips) in the metropolitan area daily. Shinjuku Station is the busiest train station in the world by passenger throughput. As a comparison, Germany has 10 million daily train riders in the whole nation, the highest usage of any country in Europe. East Japan Railway Company, or JR East, is the largest passenger railway company in the world. It operates throughout the Greater Tokyo area (as well as the rest of northeastern Honshū).
In addition to operating some long-haul Shinkansen (bullet train lines, except Tōkaidō Shinkansen operated by JR Central), JR East operates Tokyo's largest railway network, including the Yamanote Line that encircles the center of Tokyo, and commuter lines radiating from the city to its suburbs. These include the Keihin-Tōhoku Line between Saitama and Yokohama, the Chūō Line to western Tokyo, and the Sōbu Line to Chiba. The Keiyō serves nearby parts of Chiba. The Yokohama, Tōkaidō, and Yokosuka Lines serve the southwestern parts of the area.
Many additional lines form a network outside the center of the city. Among these are the Hachikō, Itsukaichi, Jōban, Jōetsu, Kawagoe, Musashino, Ōme, Negishi, Nambu, Sagami, Takasaki, and Tsurumi Lines. In total, JR alone operates 23 lines within the Greater Tokyo area.
JR East is also the majority stockholder in the Tokyo Monorail, one of the world's most commercially successful monorail lines.

Don't expect a lot from this show. Was the unofficial motto of KASR VIDEO, which made a pleasant surprise when we actually knocked out a great show! The program was a weekly 2 hour public access offshoot of the Arizona State University's original alternative radio station that aired in Phoenix. The music video show featured rarely seen videos and new music not in the main stream. Along with non-conventional interviews it became a decent way to nurse a hangover with the midnight party crowd. These clips are edited as a sort of best of; minus the music videos.
Universal Studios Japan Promotional - The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (2013)
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (ハリー・ポッターのWizarding World) is a themed area based on the Harry Potter series built at Universal Parks & Resorts' Universal Studios Japan (ユニバーサルスタジオジャパン) theme park in Osaka, Japan. Not to be confused with Warner Bros. Studio Tour London (ワーナーブラザーズスタジオツアーロンドン) - The Making of Harry Potter at Leavesden Studios, it is a collaboration of Universal Parks & Resorts (ユニバーサルパーク&リゾート) and Warner Bros. Entertainment. It opened to the public on July 15, 2014.
It contains the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey attraction and the Flight of the Hippogriff roller coaster that debuted at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort in 2010. The village of Hogsmeade is also recreated. Two features in the Japanese park not found in Orlando are Hogwarts's Black Lake and live owls.

About:
Universal Studios Japan (ユニバーサル・スタジオ・ジャパン Yunibāsaru Sutajio Japan), located in Osaka, is one of four Universal Studios theme parks, owned and operated by USJ Co., Ltd. which is wholly owned by NBCUniversal (as of 2017). The park is similar to the Universal Orlando Resort since it also contains selected attractions from Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.
The park opened on March 31, 2001. Over 11 million guests visited the park in its opening year, making it the world's fastest amusement park to have achieved the 10 million milestone at the time. Since then, Universal Studios Japan has had approximately 8 million visitors every year. Most visitors are Japanese tourists and tourists from other Asian countries such as South Korea. It is also very popular among Western tourists and expatriates. In 2005, Goldman Sachs became the largest shareholder in Universal Studios Japan.
Various events were held in the year 2011 to celebrate the park's tenth anniversary, by which time a total of 88 million guests had cumulatively attended the park. There were 700,000 annual passport holders in June 2012, and in the 2012 fiscal year, 9.75 million guests visited the park. During the 2013 fiscal year, Universal Studios Japan received 10.5 million guests. Various factors contributed to this growth in 2013, including the opening of the backwards roller coaster Hollywood Dream – The Ride: Backdrop in March, and the New Amazing Adventure of Spider-Man - The Ride 4K3D in July, which installed new 4KHD technology, which proved to be popular among the younger generation. The family area Universal Wonderland which opened in March 2012 also attracted many families.
Recent installments include limited-time attractions such as Biohazard - The Real and Monster Hunter - The Real, both based on popular video game franchises, and One Piece Premier Show, which is based on the popular anime series, providing attractions based on entertainment worldwide. On 15 July 2014, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, a themed area based on the blockbuster Harry Potter film series, opened to the public. The popular ride The Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, located in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, was revamped to play in 3D only 10 months after its opening as the first ride of its kind in the world. With a total investment of 45 billion yen, the addition of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter to the park is projected to have an economic ripple effect of 5 trillion 60 million yen over the next 10 years in Japan and anticipates many visitors from both Japan and overseas.
On Monday, October 29, 2012, Universal Studios Japan greeted its 100 millionth visitor since its opening in 2001. According to the 2014 Theme Index Global Attraction Attendance Report, Universal Studios Japan is ranked fifth among the top 25 amusement/theme parks worldwide, attracting 11.8 million visitors in 2014, 16.8% more than in the previous year. ~ wikipedia.org
