The Goguryeo Blacksmith Village is a drama set from the Goguryeo era (37 BCE - 668 CE) depicting a period blacksmith village, in Guri just outside Seoul, South Korea. The set has a seven meter/ twenty-three foot high waterwheel and a two story kiln.

Experts restore mural depicting envoys Goguryeo Dynasty from 1,3000 years ago

A centuries-old mural that proves Korea sent envoys to Uzbekistan via the Silk Road has been fully restored and is now on display for the public to see with their own eyes.
Kim Min-ji reports.
Samarkand in Uzbekistan is one of the oldest cities in Central Asia.
When the Afrosiab Palace was discovered there in 1965,... they also found a mural that depicts what are believed to be two Korean envoys from the Goguryeo Dynasty to Uzbekistan in the seventh century.
Their nationality has been a question of debate,... but their hats, which were decorated with birds′ feathers, and the ring pommel swords around their waists suggest they were from the Goguryeo era.
It is speculated that General Yeon Gaesomun of Goguryeo sent the envoys in an attempt to improve relations with the King of Sogdiana and gain support in the fight against the Tang Dynasty.
The team successfully restored the painting after two years using state-of-the-art technology.
Using a digital microscope, we scanned all of the mural and in the process mapped out the pigments.
The replica of the mural is currently on display at the National Museum of Korea.

Goguryeo , or Goryeo , was one of the ancient Three Kingdoms of Korea, located in the northern and central parts of the Korean Peninsula and the southern and central parts of inner and outer Manchuria.Goguryeo was an active participant in the power struggle for control of the Korean peninsula and was also associated with the foreign affairs of neighboring polities in China and Japan.The Samguk Sagi, a 12th-century text from Goryeo, indicates that Goguryeo was founded in 37 BCE by Jumong , a prince from the Buyeo kingdom, who was enthroned as Dongmyeong of Goguryeo.There is archaeological and textual evidence from Chinese geographic monographs that suggests that Goguryeo may have been in existence since the second century BCE around the fall of Gojoseon, an earlier kingdom which also occupied southern Manchuria and the northern Korean Peninsula.
