Hewenden Viaduct West HYorks
Panoramique Drones - Aerial Photography specialists
Hewenden Viaduct crosses the Hewenden Beck valley on the dismantled railway line southeast of Cullingworth, looking north from the Millennium Way near the northeast corner of Hewenden Reservoir. The Hewenden Viaduct comprises 17 arches, each 50 feet in span, and is 376 yards long. At 123 feet high, it was the second tallest in England when built. It's reputed that shifting sands forced builders to dig its foundations much deeper than anticipated, with the piers sunk to a maximum depth of 62½ feet. Stone built, it is thought to have been engineered by Richard Johnson.
Opened in 1884, the last traffic to cross the viaduct did so in 1963. Since 1985 it has been Grade II listed and is now tarmacked to form part of the Great Northern Trail footpath.

Four Waterfalls Walk
A walk with the family to one of the waterfalls on the trail truly amazing.
Walk 17, Austwick, North Yorkshire
The Three Yorkshire Trekkers take on the might of the rocky hillsides of Austwick and the surrounding area, visiting the Norber Erratics, a hillside strewn with large boulders that have been dumped by the glaciers, thousands upon thousands of years ago.
The trekkers have to brave fields filled with livestock and come close to the nasty cows and evils sheeps!
Austwick is a beautiful village nestled alongside Settle in North Yorkshire, in the vicinity of the Yorkshire Three Peaks.
