Towal Creek Station is an incredible opportunity to own a truly unique and self sustaining Australian agricultural enterprise, inside one of the most beautiful and picturesque areas of Northern New South Wales.
Situated in the Macleay Valley, 2 hours North West of Port Macquarie, and 22km from Bellbrook, Towal Creek Station sits in a secluded valley offering privacy as well as productivity. The Station has its own private new air strip for those who want to travel by plane. The property is also only one and a half hours from the beautiful holiday locations of Crescent Head and South West Rocks.
Towal Creek Station is a substantial cattle enterprise that has been run under expert management. It comes as a fully working property, with pastures and infrastructure in excellent working order. The Station is 2,305 hectares or 5,698 acres in area, has 6 kilometers of Macleay River frontage and runs 700 cows and heifers or 10-12,000 DSEs or Dry sheep equivalent.
Towal Creek Station has an abundance of accommodation set in beautiful locations throughout the property.
The homestead has been completely renovated in 2010. It is an impressive home with large modern entertaining areas. Features include, master bedroom, with ensuite, 4 additional bedrooms, modern kitchen, library, formal lounge, large kids media room, open plan living area with fireplace and wide enclosed and open veranda entertaining areas.
The homestead is set in a richly manicured garden surrounded by established native and exotic trees and shrubs. There is a “bush house” set in the gardens for large entertaining with fireplace, pizza oven and open plan bar.
Adjacent to the Homestead is modern guest accommodation, with 2 bedrooms, modern kitchen and open plan living area and veranda.
The Manager’s home is set with views over the Station and the Macleay River. Constructed from sandstone and weatherboard, the home has 3 bedrooms, large open plan living areas including a wide veranda with expansive views.
Towal Creek Station is a fully functional cattle farm with all the infrastructure necessary to support an enterprise of this scale. Features include, a modern set of cattle yards with immobiliser crush, roof and concreted work areas. There are stables for horses, large machinery and storage sheds plus a 3 phase pump providing water for the garden and livestock.
There has been a considerable amount of new fencing invested throughout the Station and the roads and air strip have been maintained from the on farm gravel pit.
The land has been managed to suit the demands of a modern cattle enterprise. There are rich alluvial soils along the 6 kilometer of Macleay River flats, as well as the flats of Running, Stockyard and Towal Creeks that also run through the property.
Towal Creek Station is suited to running breeding females with their progeny being back grounded to weights for feedlots entry. The station has convenient access to the market centers of Gunnedah and Kempsey. The Station has the facilities and improvements to diversify into stud cattle or horse breeding,
There is a strong history of fertilization and pasture improvements on the station. The main species of pasture sown have been, Rhodes grass, Seteria, Plantain and clovers. The remaining pastures are native set amongst carefully cleared native timber country. The country is a great balance between productive alluvial fodder crop areas and protected rolling native pasture country, well suited for the breeding females.
Towal Creek Station is a well managed business. The buyer has the opportunity to purchase this as a going concern, along with the existing management, cattle herd and machinery, providing them with the peace of mind that they can own this unique piece of the Australian landscape and have it cared for and managed by professional staff and equipment.

Bushrangers - Gold Trails
By the start of 1862, the Frank Gardiner gang were well established as a major threat to travellers and mail services on the highways of central and south west NSW. No one suspected however, that the gang would ever dare to take on the rich gold escort with its four armed police guarding the weekly consignment of gold to Sydney from the staggeringly rich new field at Forbes.
Many other bushrangers were about in these times. Discover the rich bushranger history of Australia with the Gold Trails.
