Trailer park millionaires
Some of the richest people in the US, including billionaires Warren Buffett and Sam Zell, have made millions from trailer parks at the expense of the country's poorest people. Seeing their success, ordinary people from across the country are now trying to follow in their footsteps and become trailer park millionaires. The Guardian went to Orlando to learn the tricks of the trade from Frank Rolfe, the self-appointed dean of Mobile Home University, as he led would-be investors around a trailer park for sex offenders.

Abandoned Restaurant With Rail Car Dining Area!!
A 6,900 square foot restaurant, bar and catering facility with historic train car and modern 2-bedroom apartment.
This was an award-winning facility in picturesque Warren County, New Jersey The facility has a historic train car used as a dining room, and 2-bedroom apartment. It was named #1 in unique eateries in Warren County, and received many other awards over the past 22 years. The historic dining car Azalea was built for the Alton Railroad Co. in 1925 by the Pullman Co. of Chicago. and was used for many years operating between Chicago and St. Louis and later between St. Louis and Mobile, Alabama. This car was also used in the picture In the Heat of the Night.Back in 1979 the famous rock band Blackfoot played here a couple times.Seems to have closed down in 2005 and went up for auction in March 2006.Two auctions where held and both sale contracts fell through. The owners where reported moving to Fla.There is still a decaying for sale sign out in front of the building. There where also rumours of terrible septic issues that would cost very much to repair. Its only a matter of time before this place is demolished or keeps rotting into the ground.
This is Urbex..I only take pictures of the lost and forgotten, and leave my footprints behind in the dust so we can look back and hopefully remember some of the good times and cool things of our past.

Decline of the Harappan Civilization | History for Kids | Educational Videos by Mocomi
presents: Decline of the Harappan Culture
It cannot be said for sure how the Indus Valley Civilization perished. But among the many possible theories, 2 theories have gained credence. The first cause could be an invasion by a barbaric tribe, probably the Aryans, and the other cause could be climatic changes which caused the Indus Valley to be flooded very often.
The city of Harappa was divided into two parts- The Citadel, which was home to the great public bath as well as large residential buildings that housed around 5000 people. It also had two large assembly halls but there is no evidence of the presence of any kings, priests, armies, palaces or temples. So the purpose of the Citadel is still unclear. The Lower City- was laid out in a grid like pattern. Most people lived here and seemed to have been traders or artisans.
They resided with others who were in the same profession as theirs. Potters’ kilns, dyers’ vats, metal working, bead making, shell making suggest that the people of Harappa had a wide range of occupations. Materials were procured from far-away places to make a wide range of things such as seals, beads and other artifacts.
Seals which were discovered during excavations had pictures of Gods, animals and other inscriptions. Some of these seals were used to stamp clay on trade goods. Goods made in the Indus valley traveled as far as Mesopotamia (present-day Iraq), Afghanistan and other parts of India. Jewelery that was discovered in the area suggests that the people of the Indus Valley had access to gold, copper and semi-precious stones.

Tolkien
Tolkien explores the formative years of the orphaned author as he finds friendship, love and artistic inspiration among a group of fellow outcasts at school. This takes him into the outbreak of World War I, which threatens to tear the fellowship apart. All of these experiences would inspire Tolkien to write his famous Middle-Earth novels.
Cambridge Talks X | Bound and Unbound: The Sites of Utopia Panel Two
4/15/16
In the five hundred years since the publication of Thomas More’s Of A Republic’s Best State and of the New Island of Utopia (1516), the project of imagining an ideal society has emerged as simultaneously regenerative and devastating on multiple fronts: for the concept of the polity, for the composition of social fabrics, and, most relevant from the vantage of the design disciplines, for the formation of buildings, cities, and territories. This year’s Cambridge Talks, now in its tenth edition, aims to provide a spectrum of exemplary instances of utopia’s modern guise.
In the main conference panels, we bring together speakers to address the rivalry between those utopian endeavors that organize space mainly through social relations and production, and those whose expansive impulse searches out some form of technical mastery over spatial configuration. In other words, utopia can be understood as either embodied or totalizing, bound or unbound. By taking examples from the 19th and 20th centuries, the case studies presented here—from communes and plantations to infrastructural projects and global ecologies—exhibit various attempts to imagine social conditions alongside spatial ones. A concluding discussion will touch upon the philosophical and theoretical ramifications of utopia today.
