North Korea's finest bowling alley

I won a shooting contest in the rifle range downstairs.
Inside North Korea: We went bowling in Pyongyang
On the fourth full day (which was also the last day) of my trip to North Korea I visited a couple of places that didn't allow me to film inside. It's unfortunate, but there was nothing I could do.
In this vlog I will visit the International Friendship Exhibition, the birthplace of Kim Il-sung and we end the day at the bowling alley!
I would really love your support! Please subscribe to my channel if you got value from this video:

In the streets of Pyongyang after sunset! (DPRK)
This night we were actually out in the streets at night! We had dinner at Mangyongdae restaurant in Pyongyang quite late, and when we came out it was dark. The only time in we were in the centre of Pyongyang after sunset.

STORYLINE:
In a nation plagued by famine and poverty, the sight of a state-of-the-art bowling alley in North Korea is certainly unexpected.
Here at the 'Pyongyang Gold Lane' bowling alley in the capital Pyonyang, the privileged few can indulge an appetite for individual recreation which is all but unknown to average citizens in the communist state.
Opened in 1994 on February 16, the birthday of current President Kim Jong Il, the alley attracts an average of five-hundred bowlers per day, according to the manager.
The popular two-storey establishment, with 14-thousand-300 square metres (17,000 square yards) of floor space, boats 40 computer-controlled bowling lanes and an electricity consumption almost without comparison in daily life.
There are also billiard tables, restaurants and a bar serving imported beers.
However, at a cost of 10 won (4.65 US dollars) per bowling game, the pursuit is well out of the reach of the average North Korean pocket, even though doors are allegedly open to one-and-all.
A huge banner, reminding bowlers of the 1994 visit and personal endorsement by the then President and founder of North Korea Kim Il Sung, serves to assuage any misgivings participants may have about spending such sums of money.
Oh Kum Ok, a 26 year-old member of the North Korean national bowling team, says that it's all thanks to the Great Leader that she began bowling.
Oh says she went on to compete in the 13th Asian Bowling Championships in December 1998.
Ri Han Oo, a 65 year-old amateur bowler, has very different motivations, however.
The spritely elderly man says he only took up the sport last year, believing it to be good for his health.

Cycle Tour in Pyongyang, North Korea (DPRK)
Check our cycling tour around Pyongyang, North Korea. This ride took around 3 hours. It is hard to explain what a unique experience it is to ride by locals in North Korea, see them get along with their daily lives and just explore Pyongyang on two wheels.
We started from the Kwangbok store, riding through Kwangbok street to the sports village, then over the bridge eventually arriving to science street and from there along the bank of the Taedong River. We then headed towards Kim Il Sung Square, then the ancient city gate, over the bridge with the Juche Tower on our right and May Day stadium on our left, rode all the way to the Juche Tower, then to the Party Foundation Monument heading further to the Munsu waterpark and finally back to the Pyongyang Gold Lane Bowling Alley.
KTG offer this option for all of our independent tours in North Korea, please check us out:
