Tiffanie Nurse runs the Golden Touch Spa in Barbados. Thanks to her passion for entrepreneurship and strong work ethic she has developed her business from a small mobile spa unit to a well stocked location in one of Barbados's most exclusive hotels.

Today the Spa employs eight young women and the income from her fast growing business allows her to support her two year old daughter and maintain her independence.

With a small initial family loan from she was able buy her first massage bed, and a rented area to carry out her treatments in a local doctors office. After years of building her reputation through contacts and referrals she was able to win a coveted position at the Golden Sands hotel, giving her access to prominent location and a large potential client base.

Tiffanie is a passionate advocate of The Barbados Youth Business Trust and the importance of supporting women in business. Last year she was selected to speak at the Caribbean Women in the Economy Forum in Washington and continues to act as an important role model for other young female entrepreneurs in Barbados.
