Miami-Los Angeles flight: Downtown+Miami Beach, Mississippi River Delta, 29 Palms, Big Bear 2016-3-3
Miami's Marlins Park, Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach's condos and the intracoastal waterways rush into view on takeoff toward the Atlantic Ocean.
On completion of the Gulf of Mexico crossing, the Mississippi's birdfoot mouth and the Cajun shoreline of Louisiana unfold.
This is followed by Sabine Lake and the vast refinery urban complex of Port Arthur and Beaumont, and, farther inland, the Texas A&M University city of College Station, located in the midst of Texas's I-10/I-35/I-45 triangle--before the arrival of the oil rigs and the sand hills of central-west Texas.
The arid mountains of Arizona follow, while alpine Big Bear Lake and the peaks of Southern California's Transverse Range to the northeast of Los Angeles, as well as the congested rush-hour freeways at dusk, accompany the descent and final approach to LAX.

Coastal Louisiana's land loss directly contributed to the storms' human toll. In the past, extensive healthy wetlands buffered South Louisiana from storm surge, but with thinning wetlands, oyster reefs and barrier islands, the area's communities have lost much of their natural protection. - More at:

While the real estate sector has steadily recovered, Serhant himself has quickly become one of the most successful brokers in the world, with agents under his leadership in New York City, Los Angeles, Miami and the Hamptons. The Serhant Team has been named by WSJ Real Trends as the #1 real estate team in New York for two years in a row, and the #2 team in the country, selling close to $1 billion in real estate last year. Ryan is consistently the youngest broker to make the Journal’s top ten list each year.
Ryan stars in the popular Bravo series “Million Dollar Listing New York,” which just wrapped its seventh season. On September 18, 2018 – the week of his 10-year anniversary in real estate – he will debut his first book, Sell It Like Serhant. When pre-sales were announced, Ryan was #1 on Amazon’s daily list of “Movers and Shakers.” As star and producer, this year he also debuted his new Bravo show, Sell It Like Serhant, started a successful vlog (youtube.com/ryanserhant) and launched an app (Agent Empire: NYC). CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Hunter (Chuck Norris) drives his truck into a mall shootout.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
This red-baiting action film stars Chuck Norris as Matt Hunter, a retired CIA agent who lives in the Florida Everglades. A communist invasion of Miami brings Hunter out of retirement to fight the encroaching hordes led by everyone's favorite low-budget bad guy, Richard Lynch. The film is extremely jingoistic, presenting the evil communists staging an invasion on Christmas, demolishing a church, and attempting to blow up a school bus full of children. From the same school of thinking which produced Rambo and Red Dawn, this film at least features some convincing gore by makeup wizard Tom Savini (Friday the 13th), working on his third gig for director Joseph Zito. Zito and Savini returned with Red Scorpion.

CRAZIEST Vending Machines Around The World!
Check out the CRAZIEST Vending Machines Around The World! This top 10 list of japanese vending machines has some of the strangest and most bizarre machines you'll ever see!

12. Gold
Found in Dubai, these vending machines, or vending machines in this case, give you gold! Choose from hundreds of items from gold nuggets to 10-gram gold bars to maple leafs, kangaroos, and customized gold coins. The first gold vending machine was founded in Abu Dhabi, but today, they can be found all over Dubai.
11. Crab
Are you tired of stale, outdated junk food? Well, in China, you may enjoy a nice fresh crab on demand. Imagine walking up to a vending machine to see live hairy crabs squirming around. In Nanjing, Jiangsu province it’s a reality. In late summer, early autumn in China, crabs are a big seller! That’s why these convenient machines were invented. For just over $3, you can get a crab, with prep for it, such as vinegar.
10 Ties
There may be necktie vending machines in other countries, but the only one I’ve ever seen is in Japan. It was found in Kyoto, of course.
On the way to the Golden Temple of Kinkakujin is a vending machine. This vending machine is full of neck ties. Hey, every girl’s crazy about a sharp dressed man…even in the golden temple. There are multiple colors and patterns of neckties.
9. Bait
These fishing bait vending machines are more common than you’d think. There are even special, common models, such as the LBT-500 models that are “specifically designed to be placed in an outdoor environment for the purposes of selling live baits, packaged baits and tackle items.”
8. Pizza
For years, Italy and Japan have been flaunting their pizza vending machines for years! But it wasn’t until 2016 that the US finally got their first pizza vending machine.
It happened at Ohio's Xavier University when the nation's first official Pizza vending machine” hit the school. It offers hot, custom pizza, 24 hours a day, seven days a week at just the touch of a button!
7. Toilet Paper
What’s the strangest thing that comes out of a vending machine? Yeah, probably toilet paper. However, it’s also the most useful. That is, if you realize you need the toilet paper before you actually need it.
Somehow, these are one of the rarest vending machines on the list. They are native to Japan, but are rarely photographed.
6. Cupcakes
Sometimes, you just need a cupcake, and a bakery company called Sprinkles knows that. So they invented the cupcake vending machine.
Sprinkles is a Los Angeles-based cupcake chain that is famous for their ingenious vending machines. These cupcake-dispensing machines offer fresh cupcakes 24/7. Each of these vending machines holds about 800 cupcakes of different varieties.
5. Tyson
Tyson Foods is an American multinational corporation based in Springdale, Arkansas. They are most famous for their chicken, beef, and pork and annually exports the largest percentage of beef out of the United States. Along with their sole purpose, they operate other brands, including Jimmy Dean, Hillshire Farm, Sara Lee, Ball Park, Wright, Aidells, and State Fair.
4. Caviar

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
German Americans (German: Deutschamerikaner) are Americans who have full or partial German ancestry. With an estimated size of approximately 44 million in 2016, German Americans are the largest of the self-reported ancestry groups by the US Census Bureau in its American Community Survey. German-Americans account for about one third of the total ethnic German population in the world.None of the German states had American colonies. In the 1670s, the first significant groups of German immigrants arrived in the British colonies, settling primarily in Pennsylvania, New York, and Virginia. Immigration continued in very large numbers during the 19th century, with eight million arrivals from Germany. Between 1820 and 1870 over seven and a half million German immigrants came to the United States. By 2010, their population grew to 49.8 million German Americans, reflecting a jump of 6 million people since 2000.
There is a German belt that extends all the way across the United States, from eastern Pennsylvania to the Oregon coast. Pennsylvania has the largest population of German-Americans in the U.S. and is home to one of the group's original settlements, Germantown (Philadelphia), founded in 1683 and the birthplace of the American antislavery movement in 1688, as well as the revolutionary Battle of Germantown. The state of Pennsylvania has 3.5 million people of German ancestry.
They were pulled by the attractions of land and religious freedom, and pushed out of Germany by shortages of land and religious or political oppression. Many arrived seeking religious or political freedom, others for economic opportunities greater than those in Europe, and others for the chance to start fresh in the New World. The arrivals before 1850 were mostly farmers who sought out the most productive land, where their intensive farming techniques would pay off. After 1840, many came to cities, where Germania—German-speaking districts—soon emerged.German Americans established the first kindergartens in the United States, introduced the Christmas tree tradition, and introduced popular foods such as hot dogs and hamburgers to America. The great majority of people with some German ancestry have become Am ...

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is the police department of the city of Los Angeles, California.
The LAPD has been copiously fictionalized in numerous movies, novels and television shows throughout its history. The department has also been associated with a number of controversies, mainly concerned with racial animosity, police brutality and police corruption.
The radio show Calling All Cars hired LAPD radio dispacher Jesse Rosenquist to be the voice of the dispatcher. Rosenquist was already famous because home radios could tune into early police radio frequencies. As the first police radio dispatcher presented to the public ear, his was the voice that actors went to when called upon for a radio dispatcher role.
The iconic television series Dragnet, with LAPD Detective Joe Friday as the primary character, was the first major media representation of the department. Real LAPD operations inspired Jack Webb to create the series and close cooperation with department officers let him make it as realistic as possible, including authentic police equipment and sound recording on-site at the police station.
Due to Dragnet's popularity, LAPD Chief Parker became, after J. Edgar Hoover, the most well known and respected law enforcement official in the nation. In the 1960s, when the LAPD under Chief Thomas Reddin expanded its community relations division and began efforts to reach out to the African-American community, Dragnet followed suit with more emphasis on internal affairs and community policing than solving crimes, the show's previous mainstay.
Several prominent representations of the LAPD and its officers in television and film include Adam-12, Blue Streak, Blue Thunder, Boomtown, The Closer, Colors, Crash, Columbo, Dark Blue, Die Hard, End of Watch, Heat, Hollywood Homicide, Hunter, Internal Affairs, Jackie Brown, L.A. Confidential, Lakeview Terrace, Law & Order: Los Angeles, Life, Numb3rs, The Shield, Southland, Speed, Street Kings, SWAT, Training Day and the Lethal Weapon, Rush Hour and Terminator film series. The LAPD is also featured in the video games Midnight Club II, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, L.A. Noire and Call of Juarez: The Cartel.
The LAPD has also been the subject of numerous novels. Elizabeth Linington used the department as her backdrop in three different series written under three different names, perhaps the most popular being those novel featuring Det. Lt. Luis Mendoza, who was introduced in the Edgar-nominated Case Pending. Joseph Wambaugh, the son of a Pittsburgh policeman, spent fourteen years in the department, using his background to write novels with authentic fictional depictions of life in the LAPD. Wambaugh also created the Emmy-winning TV anthology series Police Story. Wambaugh was also a major influence on James Ellroy, who wrote several novels about the Department set during the 1940s and 1950s, the most famous of which are probably The Black Dahlia, fictionalizing the LAPD's most famous cold case, and L.A. Confidential, which was made into a film of the same name. Both the novel and the film chronicled mass-murder and corruption inside and outside the force during the Parker era. Critic Roger Ebert indicates that the film's characters (from the 1950s) represent the choices ahead for the LAPD: assisting Hollywood limelight, aggressive policing with relaxed ethics, and a straight arrow approach.
