Motha Maruti (Magnetic Hanuman)Temple, Lonar
Motha Maruti temple in Lonar, Buldhana where we see a huge statue of Hanuman in sleeping position which was built out of a magnetic rock.
On the north side of Dhara Temple Complex (Gomukh Temple), there is an old temple of Lord Hanuman near Ambar Lake. Idol of Hanuman is 9 feet, 3 inches high and 4 feet in breadth. Idol's right foot is on the Earth and under left foot there is idol of Lord Shani, which is captured by Hanuman's tail. Hanuman's left hand is in japa position and right hand is blessing.
Scientifically it has magnetic effect. It indicates that Hanuman is magnetic. This 8th century idol was coated by Red paint (Shendur). Now Shendur is removed by Kanitkar family(owner of the temple). This temple was given as Jahagir by Nizam of Hydrabad to Kanitkar family.

1000 years old Daitya Sudan Mandir Ancient Rock Temple Lonar Dist Buldhana
This video Recorded in jan 2009. Daitya Sudan Temple is a Vishnu temple dated to the Chalukya Dynasty which ruled Central and Southern India between the 6th and 12th centuries. It belongs to the Hemadpanthi class and is built in the form of an irregular star. It features carvings similar to those seen at Khajuraho temples. The deity of this temple is made of an ore with a high metal content that resembles stone. The area outside the sanctum is dark and under the light from a torch carvings can be viewed on the ceiling. The exterior walls are also covered with carved figures. The plinth of the temple is about 1.5 m in height, and the unfinished roof suggests an intended pyramidal form for the tower. The temple of Daityasudana at Lonar is the best example of the Hemadpanthi style. From the standing image of Surya in the principal niche on the back of the temple it is conjectured that the temple was originally dedicated to the Sun-god.However in the present form its vaishnav temple of god vishnu in its daityasudan avatar. There is a story that a demon i.e. daitya called as lonasur or lavanasur used to reside in this locality along with his sisters . He was killed by lord vishnu in his daityasudan avatar hence the name. The temple measures 105 ft. long by 84.5 ft. broad . Its a tree chamber temple, the inner most being garbh gruh i.e. sanctum sanctorum where the idol of lord vishnu standing atop lavanasur is there . The present day idol was made by bholse rulers of Nagpur after the original went missing . The second chamber is called antarl where individual pooja are performed, on the roof of this block one can see beautiful cravings of puranic stories viz. Killing of Lavanasur by Lord Krishna and appearance of Dhar of Lonar ; story of Kansa and Krishan, story of Narasimha and HiranKashyap and lastly raskrida.
The outermost chamber is called as sabahmandap which is meant for group offerings and performance . This portion as well as the enterance gate does not match the style and construction elements of the temple overall . The brickwork might have been added later to the damaged or unfinished temple which might have been caused due to various invasion post 10th century India .The temple overall is star shaped . The main enterance is east facing .The principle niche at the back of the temple has image of surya (sun god ) which gives rise to the speculation that this might have been ( or intended to be ) temple of sungod . The other niche on the right of the temple i.e. on south has image of chamunda devi . The one on left of the temple i.e. north has narashima in it .All of these 3 niches are built like mini temples in themselves having elaborate pillars, base and decoration .There are nemorous ridges onto the temple with different decoration, images having iconic as well as artistic significance . Many of the images depict deities or incidents on Hindu purans.

Lonar Dhar Temple | Why is the Lonar Lake a mystery?
Why is the Lonar Lake a mystery?
Even with almost 30,000 to 1,50,000 meteors that plummet towards Earth each year, this one actually hit and created the Lonar Lake. Not many people are aware of this beautiful and mysterious place. Why mysterious, you ask? Well, the lake has made even NASA scientists and Geological Survey of India officials question their theories and wonder how is it possible. The lake is both alkaline and saline & micro-organisms which are rarely found anywhere else on earth are supported in this environment. Your compass will never work here, and what lies at the bottom, no one knows.

Caution:
The Vashistha Ashram Agnikund is located around 5 kilometers from the Hanuman Temple situated in a wild valley that is reached by climbing down over 750 steps. The area is covered with very think forest cover and visiting the place after dark & rainy season is not recommended without proper information and local guidance, you should plan for a full day trip to Gaumukh Vashistha Ashram Agnikund if you want to enjoy the beauty and nature of this place.
It is believed that Saint Vashishth performed a yagna there that created the four major Rajput clans. There is also a tank that you should visit- the Agni Kund. The Agni Kund is believed to be the site of a sacrificial fire which Saint Vashishth used to perform the yagni from which the four clans were born.

Mumbai to Lonar on Bike Part 3 | Daitya Sudan Temple |BIGGEST MISTAKE | History of Daitya Sudan
Daitya sudan is very old temple made by Chalukya dynasty.
There are various stories around this temple. This temple very closely associated with temple of khajurao. Due to it's kamasutra carvings on the temple walls.
Daitya Sudan temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, when he had born on earth as a human name Daitya Sudan to kill a demon name Lavanasura.
The idol is made up of some metal ore which resembles very closely to stones.
While returning I took a wrong route i.e Lonar - Mantan - Aurangabad, which turned out to be a disaster. Very poor roads.

Ruined Mandapika Temples - Thubon (M. P.) Pt - 1
Thubon is located in Ashok Nagar district of Madhya Pradesh between the rivers Urr and Lilawati. The archaeological potential of the site has still not properly been probed. Around 15 of these Mandapika temples are still standing, some of which are Shaiva and others Vaishnava in affiliation; their time periods vary from the 10th to the 12th centuries. The mandapika style of temples found at Thubon in particular and at other sites in central India in general is reminiscent of the Gupta temple architecture which continued to flourish alongside the fully evolved sikhara type of temples of the Nagara style during the early medieval period. The earliest temples of this style are assignable to century 600 A.D. and continue to exist till 12th century A.D.
