In the Sixties, Mainland China was busy with the Cultural Revolution, which branded Rock & Roll as a sign of Western decadence. Nevertheless, the Beat Wave hit big in two Chinese territories that remained open to British influence, Hong Kong and Singapore. In Singapore, groups were formed, signed, with records being released weekly. Furthermore, in multicultural Singapore bands were playing music but singing them in English (which was the major language), Malay and Chinese. Therefore fans had three streams to choose from. Cliff Richard and The Shadows played a concert in Singapore in late 1961 and that marked the beginning of the Beat group era with bands which were strictly instrumental. Most times, singers were an adjunct to the band. The arrival of the Beatles in 1963 changed the emphasis from the instrumental band scene to self-contained units with singers and instrumentalists, although strictly instrumental bands flourished for a long time yet in Singapore – as there was a need for instrumental music in many situations. Singapore's musical scene was a mix of different influences sung in English, Malay and Chinese. They ranged from popular bands like Quests who came from the early Sixties era, Naomi and The Boys who had a successful four year run, Antartics who personified the second wave of R&B tinged groups, then Malay groups like D'4 Ever, Les Kafila's, Mike Ibrahim and The Nite Walkers, Swallows, Ismail Haron and The Guys and two guests from Thailand - Dynamics and Fox. The music ranges from Pop R & B, early Heavy to the plain weird. It is a mix of Western influences and Asian ethnic diversity produce something unique that can only be called Singaporean pop.
Charlie and His Go-Go Boys is a Singaporean group that in 1966-67 released many instrumental A-Go-Go EPs and one album on Swan Records. Swan Label is one of the many indie local labels in Singapore. 查礼乐队(Charlie & The Boys),白云唱片御用乐队,曾为爱慧娜及邓雪华红歌星伴奏,并出版过不少7寸/12寸黑胶音乐专辑唱片。

Good Luck Charlie Cast ★ Then and Now 2019
Good Luck Charlie is an American sitcom that originally aired on Disney Channel from April 4, 2010, to February 16, 2014. The series' creators, Phil Baker and Drew Vaupen, wanted to create a program that would appeal to entire families, not just children. It focuses on the Duncan family of Denver as they adjust to the births of their fourth and fifth children, Charlotte Charlie (Mia Talerico) and Toby (Logan Moreau). In each episode, Teddy Duncan (Bridgit Mendler) adds to a video diary that contains advice for Charlie about their family and life as a teenager. Teddy tries to show Charlie what she might go through when she is older for future reference.
Each video diary ends with Teddy (or another family member, even Charlie) saying the eponymous phrase, Good luck, Charlie.
Main Cast:
Teddy Duncan - Bridgit Mendler
Amy Duncan - Leigh-Allyn Baker
Gabe Duncan - Bradley Steven Perry
Charlie Duncan - Mia Talerico
Bob Duncan - Eric Allan Kramer

CREWE ALEXANDRA 1-1 BURY MATCH HIGHLIGHTS: SKY BET LEAGUE TWO: 13/10/18
Hello one and all, welcome to another match vlog. This video shows highlights of Bury’s 1-1 draw away at Crewe Alexandra at the Alexandra Stadium in Sky Bet League Two on Saturday 13th October 2018. Chester FC should’ve been playing at home to Nuneaton Borough, but a few of Nuneaton’s players have been called up for some international countries so they weren’t eligible to play, hence the match was postponed. I decided to go to this match due to the fact that it’s been 6 years since I last visited Gresty Road and this game looked appealing. Crewe have been in League Two for a few years, whilst Bury got relegated from League One last season and have made a decent start. I was able to go in the Bury end as they made a brilliant atmosphere, whilst I’m not really keen on Crewe because we have had a bit of a rivalry with them over the years. The actually match was alright with Bury dominating, which made my trip to South Cheshire a good one. Chester FC should be playing away at York City next Saturday, but it’s been postponed due to York being in the FA Cup which means that I will be going on another groundhop. I will record the match so stay tuned to find out where I will be going. Hopefully you enjoyed today’s video so please like, subscribe and comment down your thoughts of the game below.
Cheers, Rio.

CHELSEA'S KIWOMYA SCORES: England U18s vs Croatia 1-2, international friendly
England U18s were hit by a second-half comeback at St. George's Park, as they lost the first game of this week's double-header with Croatia.
After an impressive first half display from Neil Dewsnip's Young Lions, in which Chelsea striker Alex Kiwomya had given them a deserved lead, there looked to be little sign of what was to come from a labouring Croatian side.
But they were completely re-incarnated after the break and caught England cold with two goals in six minutes to seal their victory.
There were plenty of positives for England to take though, with elements of their play catching the eye and some impressive individual performances.
They took the lead inside 10 minutes with their first real attack of the game.
Manchester City winger Branden Barker set off on a powerful run and then worked on to Demarai Gray on the right.
When he beat his man in the area, a cross to the far post was nodded back by Cameron Brannagan for Kiwomya to strike home a low left-footer past Ivo Brbic.
Dele Alli should really have doubled England's advantage after 22 minutes when Kiwomya's turn of pace and pass set him clear into the area, but after tumbling under Duje Caleta-Car's challenge rather than opting for a first-time shot, any half-hearted penalty appeals were ruled out.
With Croatia largely restricted to shots from distance during the first period, England always looked the more likely scorers and Livepool's Brannagan was just a whisker away from making it 2-0 moments before half time.
Collecting a pass from the lively Manchester City winger Branden Barker, Brannagan controlled well before curling a right-footer just wide of the post and that miss would prove to be crucial.
Croatia were sent back out early for the second half by boss Zoran Vulic, with his voice undoubtedly still ringing in their ears and their performance certainly picked up after the break.
With captain Ante Roguljic always looking dangerous from set-pieces during the first half, it was no surprise when his free-kick from the right picked out defender Marko Stolnik in the area just shy of the hour mark. The ball bounced kindly for Stolnik, and he needed no invitation to smash home a powerful right-footer past the exposed Callum Burton.
The momentum was with the visitors and Burton had to make a smart save to deny Petar Mamic moments later, turning the left-back's low drive wide of the post.
But he could not prevent them from taking the lead in the 65th minute when sub Nikola Vlasic was picked out on the edge of the area, before striking a low shot past Burton via a slight deflection.
England recovered to enjoy plenty of possession after that, but with the Croatians looking solid and composed in defence to hold on, clear chances were hard to find.
And with a number of substitutions made after the goal by both teams too, the rhythm had been lost somewhat with England's first-half threats having been nullified.
But Wednesday brings another game between the nations, with Dewsnip and his staff having chance to get back on the training ground with their squad before then.
England U18s: (4-3-3) 1 Callum Burton (Shrewsbury Town); 2 Kyle Knoyle (West Ham United), 5 Reece Burke (West Ham United), 6 Ashley Smith-Brown (Manchester City), 3 Ben Chilwell (Leicester City); 4 Bryn Morris (c) (Middlesbrough), 8 Dele Alli (MK Dons), 10 Cameron Brannagan (Liverpool); 7 Demarai Gray (Birmingham City), 9 Alex Kiwomya (Chelsea), 11 Branden Barker (Manchester City).
Substitutes: 14 Reece Brown (Birmingham) for Burke, 66; 15 Dean Rittenburg (Blackburn) for Barker, 68; 17 Emmanuel Sonupe (Tottenham) for Gray, 76); 16 Jermaine Anderson (Arsenal) for Alli 87
Substitutes not used: 13 Charlie Grainger (Leyton Orient), 12 Charlie Colkett (Chelsea),18 Jack Whatmough (Portsmouth).
Goals: Alex Kiwomya 8
Croatia U18s: 1 Ivo Gbic, 2 Marko Stolnik, 3 Petar Mamic, 4 Ivan Sunjic, 5 Duje Caleta-Car, 6 Franjo Prce, 7 Marin Akolis, 8 Bojan Knezevic, 9 Fran Brodic, 10 Ante Roguljic (c), 11 Elvir Maloku.
Substitutes: 17 Nikola Vlasic for Akolis 46; 13 Andrija Balic, for Brodic 61; 16 Ante Blazevic for Maloku, 61; 18 Karlo Lilic for Roguljic, 76; 15 Ante Coric for Knezevic, 76; 14 Hrvojo Dzijan for Stolnik 83.
Substitutes not used: 12 Dario Miskic.
Goals: Stolnik 59, Vasic 65
Bookings: Mamic 30, Sunjic 58

The Man Who Never Made Good (1914)
A bungling bumpkin fails at a number of jobs in this slapstick comedy - before he finds his true calling.

Watch more on the BFI Player:
A bungling bumpkin tries his hand at a series of jobs in this slapstick silent comedy - only to prove how useless he is at all of them. After being unceremoniously ejected from a bus (reason unknown; the beginning of the film is missing), our hapless hero becomes (among other things) a waiter, a soldier and a sandwich-board man. His true calling, as it turns out, is altogether less dignified...
This film may actually be a 1914 reissue of a 1908 film originally titled 'No Good for Anything', which was made by the Rosie Film Company. The opening scene with the bus appears, from the visible signage, to have been filmed on Croydon High Street (the Rosie Film Company was also based on the same street, in Wrencote House), while the scene with the lead character as a sandwich board man was filmed to the north west of Croydon at Wandle Bank in Collier's Wood (a street sign is visible in the background). One of the film's pleasures is seeing local residents standing in the background and watching the filming take place. Some local boys take a more active role, having been co-opted into attacking - with obvious relish - the sandwich board man as he fords a stretch of water on the edge of Wandle Park.

CHELSEA VS ARSENAL 2-1: Goals and Highlights FA Youth Cup Semi Final
Chelsea remain on course for a fourth FA Youth Cup Final in five years after a narrow 2-1 Semi-Final first leg victory over Arsenal.
On a perfect spring evening at Stamford Bridge three goals in the space of ten second-half minutes proved decisive as Chuba Akpom's opener was quickly cancelled out by strikes from Charlie Colkett and Alex Kiwomya.
The result gives the Blues a slender advantage going into the second leg at the Emirates next week.
Chelsea began the game the brighter of the two -- the pace of Jordan Houghton, Isaiah Brown and Colkett caused the Arsenal defence problems in the early stages.
Chelsea 2-1 Arsenal
FA Youth Cup
Semi-Final First Leg
Thursday 10 April
Stamford Bridge
Second Leg - 17 April
At 6ft 4in England U19 international Ruben Loftus Cheek, captaining the side, cut a powerful and imposing figure in the centre of the park. Meanwhile another star performer through the season, Alex Kiwomya, provided a dangerous outlet wide on the right.
For Arsenal, Akpom was back in the line-up after winter loan spells at League One outfits Brentford and Coventry and he looked lively throughout, leading the line for the Gunners.
Around 1,000 visiting fans had made the short trip across the capital and filled the lower corner of the Shed End.
They were cheering on their stars of tomorrow between multiple verses of We're going to Wembley in support of their senior side who travel to the National Stadium on Saturday for their own Cup Semi-Final.
The Chelsea faithful had also come out in their numbers -- and filled large sections of the giant East Stand behind the dugouts.
They almost had something to cheer as Chelsea's first and best chance of the half came on 23 minutes. But for a spectacular double save from Joshua Vickers in the Arsenal, they would have been ahead.
The 18-year-old first prevented a powerful Houghton shot with a spectacular diving stop, before jumping to his feet to keep Kiwomya's rebounded effort out.
Meanwhile, at the other end Mitchell Beeney kept his England U19 teammate Akpom at bay -- showing strong hands as palmed away the striker's drilled right-foot effort. The game was developing into an entertaining, end-to-end affair -- all it needed was a goal.
Nothing came before the break, though, and as the second half got under way it was Chelsea who once again looked sharper out of the blocks.
However, despite the early pressure it was Arsenal who eventually broke the deadlock -- albeit somewhat against the run of play.

With Chelsea committed, Maitland-Niles picked up the ball in the middle of the park and played a delightful low pass into the path of Akpom. The young striker dropped his shoulder, beat right-back Ola Aina and fired a unstoppable shot past Beeney at the near post.
It seemed to be just the spark Adi Viveash's side needed, though, as ten minutes later not only were they level, but ahead.
Almost immediately from kick-off Loftus Cheek drove at the Arsenal defence. As he approached the box the crowd urged the midfielder to shoot but he was denied by a last-ditch Arsenal tackle.
However, the visitors could not pick up the loose ball and it came back to Loftus Cheek who flicked it perfectly into the path of Colkett. The frontman rifled home past a helpless Vickers to make it 1-1 and it was game on.
Now buoyed Chelsea knew they had their guests on the ropes. Loftus Cheek was again at the heart of the action as he broke wide on the right and whipped in a fine cross onto the head of Dominic Solanke.
His effort was well saved, but the rebound fell into the path of the dangerous Kiwomya -- who acrobatically connected and fired Chelsea into the lead.
Chelsea may have increased their advantage as the game entered its final stages. Colkett was again kept out by the fantastic Vickers -- and Houghton drilled a low effort inches wide.
Arsenal had Vickers to thank once more, as seconds later as the young stopper saved spectacularly again -- this time from Fankaty Dabo's powerful effort.
But they managed to keep the deficit at one and will feel there is still all to play for when the pair meet again at the Emirates on the 17 April.
