ABOUT ME:
I am currently on maternity leave from my job as a Marketing Executive for a timber company (so glam eh?) but in my spare time I love to bake and blog over at A Wee Bit of Cake. I like to talk about all things cakey with a good dose of family life too. I'm married to my lovely husband Tom, in March 2016 we welcomed our baby boy Ethan into the world and just recently our second son Dylan was born in June 2018. My channel will follow my adventures in the kitchen and navigating the crazy world of parenthood. Please stop by and say hello!

Hey Diddle Diddle coming to Harrogate Library
A hilarious adventure filled with music and puppetry, for ages 3+.
When the full moon shines bright there’s magic in the air, and all the animals come out to play. Stay up late with flying cows, jazzy cats and runaway crockery and as we jump and jive to the music in a brilliant new take on the classic nursery rhyme.
Ever wondered how a cow jumped over the moon? Or why the dish ran away with the spoon? With original songs played live on stage, brilliant puppetry and lots of laughter, this new show is a wild and musical celebration about the importance of imagination.
Goblin are an acclaimed theatre company who make shows for young people and families.

“MY WAR” By Herbert “Bert” Marsh Wednesday 22nd July 2015
On Wednesday 22nd of July Bert Marsh held a talk to raise money for the British Heart Foundation at Holmesfield Village Hall, at Holmesfield near Sheffield. The talk was about Bert's Wartime experiences as a mortar platoon member of the 12th Yorkshire Battalion of the Parachute Regiment. He begins with the two weeks leading up to D-Day, where all troops were confined to camp before their Historic journey to Normandy on the night of June 5th, landing near Ranville, Normandy and then fighting through to the end of the War in Europe, followed by a long boat trip to India and the Far East to end the War with Japan.
This is the story of a British Band of Brothers of the 5th Parachute Brigade of the 6th Airborne Division, and their exploits during the dark days of WW2, which led to the beginning of the end.
Bert is now a proud member of the Parachute Regiment Association Sheffield and Chesterfield Branches, and can be seen at many annual events, including at Hardwick Hall and in Normandy.
Camera Interviews - Will Hay (1928)
Will Hay - the Schoolmaster laughter-maker at the recent Command Performance. When the cat's away the mice will play -
A young schoolboy stands at a blackboard and draws an unflattering cartoon of his teacher. The boy wears a mortar board. An old man gets up from a school desk and laughs about it. The boy then puts some ink on the cloth that the teacher will use to clean the board. The two sit together at their desks. (Section missing here?) Will Hay stands at the board in his teacher's outfit. (The board is now clean). He begins to write something on the board. It is illegible until he turns the board upside down to reveal that it says: Silence in this school. Hay has black ink all around his mouth so presumably some funny business with the inky rag is missing. The boy puts his hand up to ask or answer a question. He then opens the classroom door to reveal a woman waiting outside. She comes into the class. C/U of Hay looking like a madman with ink all over his chops and a small pair of pince-nez on the tip of his nose, he speaks obsequiously to the woman. C/U of her putting her hand up to her face as she laughs. He looks annoyed, she laughs uproariously. as do the two pupils. She laughs and points at his face. He looks in the mirror and gets very cross. He grabs the boy, throws him over the desk and gives him a good caning!
Was item in Eve's Film Review issue 355.
Note: a short sequence is missing which shows Will Hay wiping his face with the blackboard duster and hence getting covered with ink. This sequence can be found in This Was Yesterday reel 2. (NB - original reel 2 not reel 2 which is reels 3 & 4 combined. Confusing eh?! Reel 2 is currently a mute F/G pos with mag track. There is no combined print - currently missing.)
Safety print exists.

Kevin Cruise was brought to life in 2009 when actor/comedian Martin Cabble-Reid created a character as part of the Amused Moose Comedy club. With Martin’s varied 16 year acting career and having worked as a solo cabaret singer on various Cruise Liners, Martin had found more than enough inspiration for the ultra tanned ‘Kevin Cruise’.
Within a year, Kevin Cruise was an award winning regular on the UK comedy and cabaret circuit. In 2010, Martin was spotted performing as Kevin by an ITV producer from Britain’s Got Talent. This was the start of a whirlwind for Kevin when his BGT audition (ironically parodying BGT auditions) was chosen as the lead audition for the fourth series of the show after receiving a standing ovation at the Hammersmith Apollo. Kevin then made it through to the finals, sailing onto live television in a 16ft, purpose built glittering cruise ship ‘The Fishy Rose’ Simon Cowell LOVED IT!!!
Since appearing on the show, Kevin has performed twice at Glastonbury Festival; entertained the crowds at The Queens Jubilee Concert in Hyde Park; took his first solo cabaret show ‘Cruise Ship Capers’ to the Edinburgh Festival for a 4 week run; performed at the Bedford Comedy Festival to rave reviews. In 2012/13 Kevin performed an eight month weekly residency at all Butlin’s Resort’s and a 140 date tour of all UK Haven Holiday resorts. This year he’s been a regular at Pontin’s Resorts around the UK....he has even had a ‘dance off’ with Louie Spence for an Xbox commercial!
Pantomime appearances include Buttons in Cinderella, Muddles in Sleeping Beauty, Simple Simon in Jack And the Beanstalk and Wishee Washee in Aladdin - all for the West End producers, Bill Kenwright Ltd. Television credits include numerous interviews and performances on This Morning, This Morning Summer, Daybreak, Britain’s Got Talent Series 4, Live at 5, and Britain’s Got MORE Talent series 4, 5 and 6.
Kevin’s previous solo theatre shows include ‘A Night On The Fishy Rose’ in 2011, ‘Kevin’s Cruising Cabaret Comedy Show’ in 2013 and ‘Kevin’s Comedy Show’ in 2014. He’s back at Theatre Royal Windsor again in 2015 with his brand new cabaret show ‘Kevin’s Big Fat Cruise Ship Wedding’ on Sunday 15th March. Tickets on sale now (hint hint!)
Martin trained at Chichester College of Arts & Mountview Academy of theatre Arts. When he’s not donning his Kevin wig, Martin runs his own Production company ‘Moon on a Stick’ producing entertainment shows and comedy nights around the UK and co-produces throughout the year for The Mill Arts Centre, Banbury.
Martin is a patron of the Dorney Animal Sanctuary and a supporter of Vivi’s Venture, helping raise much needed funds.
