Skiathos
Well-known for its thick pine forest and its numerous hidden bays Skiathos is a true Greek paradise. Explore the impressive beach of Lalaria and its turquoise waters, admire the island’s magnificent lagoon, and enjoy local Greek food specialties at one of the many local tavernas. Skiathos is also well-known for its vibrant nightlife with plenty of beach parties, open-air clubs, and bars. From exploring sea caves on the northern side of Skiathos to jet skiing on Megali Ammos beach, there is plenty to do while visiting the island of Skiathos. As for the cultural attractions, the House of the Novelist Papadiamantis and the famous Castle of Skiathos are definitely worth checking out. You will also find a couple of woodland areas on the island which is ideal for long hikes.
Skopelos
Our Sporades luxury boat adventure takes us to the greenest island in Greece and the most populated island in the Sporades, the lovely Skopelos. One of the prettiest islands in the Aegean! The coastline here is dotted with dozens of beautiful beaches and secluded bays such as Panormos, Stafilos, Loutraki, and many others. Skopelos was even featured in the popular Mamma Mia movie back in 2008, which explains the growing number of tourists in the last 10 years. From the magnificent forest which covers over 50% of the island to an array of cozy restaurants and white-washed hillside homes, the island definitely has plenty to offer. Go on a guided tour through the steep streets of Skopelos Old Town, try the traditional plums, honey, and cheese pie! Enjoy kayaking, snorkeling on Panormos beach.
Alonissos
One of the less developed islands in the Sporades archipelago, but the array of natural attractions here is simply amazing! The whole island is part of the National Marine Park where you can see various species of dolphins, gulls, and even monk seals. Patitiri and Palaia Alonissos are the two main towns on the island. Wander the picturesque streets of Chora, the old town of Alonissos, go scuba diving at the Gorgonian Garden and the Blue Cave, and embrace the Greek culture in a local taverna for dinner. Alonissos is also home to a network of walking routes and picturesque paths which lead through forests and offer spectacular views of the sea.
Skyros
Your captain will take you to Skyros, the largest and the southernmost island in the Sporades. Expect to find a varied landscape of mountains and sea, as well as dozens of stunning beaches with crystal-clear waters such as Molos, Pefkos Beach, Agios Petros, and many others. The seaside settlement of Acherounes is home to the famous Skyrian ponies that are usually less than 1 meter high. To learn about the culture of the island, pay a visit to the fabulous Manos Faltaits Historical and Folklore Museum. Skyros Town is the capital of this lovely island, and you will have an opportunity to snap photos of its whitewashed houses and admire the Cycladic architecture. Since the town is built on a hill, it offers fantastic views of the bay. To make the most of your stay, head out to the 13th-century castle and visit a Byzantine monastery and a Venetian dungeon.
