[FILMED ON July 29, 2017] Government House is the official residence of the Governor of Victoria. The house is located next to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne. Government House is open to the public on Australia Day and as part of Open House Melbourne each year. During Open House Melbourne 2017, visitors were able to explore the State Apartments which includes the Ballroom, State Drawing Room, Conservatory, State Dining Room, State Hall and Billiard Room.

President Kovind met Governor of Victoria Linda Dessau. The President is also slated to visit Sidney Myer Asia Centre and address the students.

Australia Day 2015 - Government House
On Australia Day, Government House Melbourne, one of the nation's most beloved historic buildings, opened its gates and doors to the public. Visitors were able to tour the main house, meet some of the fastest and most celebrated Victorians in the Hopetoun Stables and roam around the beautifully manicured gardens before enjoying picnics and activities in the grounds.
