WVCDL - One State, One Law - SB317
Charleston, WV Mayor Danny Jones is demanding that Governor Tomblin to veto SB317 (which passed the WV Senate unanimously and with only 5 dissenting votes in the WV House) to protect Charleston's draconian gun ordinances.
SB317 makes the firearms laws uniform across the state, protecting gun owners from the legal minefield that exists while carrying a firearm for self-defense.
Don't let one mayor dictate the gun laws for an entire state.
One State, One Law.

WVDACH Celebrates 125 Years of the West Virginia State Museum
he collection of the West Virginia State Museum finds its beginnings with the West Virginia Historical and Antiquarian Society, organized in the senate chamber of the State House in Charleston on January 30, 1890. On April 3, 1894, Governor William A. MacCorkle invited the citizens of West Virginia to the opening of the state museum. The new museum contained the artifacts on exhibit at the 1893 World’s Fair as well as exhibiting the valuable collection of the Historical Society, which legally became a part of the state museum by an act of the legislature. On July 11, 1976, the West Virginia Science and Culture Center, now known as the Culture Center, was opened on the State Capitol Complex to become the permanent home for the museum. In 2009, the museum was renovated with state-of-the-art updates to create a story of the history, people and places of the Mountain State.
