The Hindu temple Govind Dev Ji is situated in Jaipur in Rajasthan state of India. It is located in the City Palace complex. The temple is dedicated to Govind Dev Ji (Lord Krishna). The image of the deity (murti) was brought from Vrindavan here by Raja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur. According to popular legend, Lord Krishna's image in the temple looks exactly like Krishna's form during his incarnation on Earth.
The deity originally belonged to Srila Rupa Goswami who was a disciple of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
In the legend, the Holy Image of Lord Govind Devji was also called BAJRAKRIT communicating thereby that it was created by Bajranabh -- The Great Grand Son of Lord Shri Krishna. Some 5,000 years back when Shri Bajranabh was around 13 years old, he asked his Grand Mother (daughter-in-law of Lord Krishna) as to how Lord Shri Krishna looked like; Then He made an image as per the description given by her. She however, said that not all but the Feet of that image looked like those of Lord Shri Krishna. He made another image, yet she said that the Chest looked like that of Lord Shri Krishna. Thereafter, He made the Third Image and looking at the same she felt Blush and Nodded that yes that was what Lord Shri Krishna Looked Like!
The first one came to be known with the Name Lord Madan Mohanji. The second one got recognition as Lord GOPI NATHJI and the Third One, The LIVE Divine Majestic Holy Image is LORD GOVIND DEVJI. With passing of ages the glories of the Indian Culture were being forgotten and the sands of time kept piling up. Together with every other thing these pious divine images were also lost from the memories of people. Some 500 years ago Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu took his birth on the Indian Soil and did the massive work to remove the layers of ignorance & infuse back in our lives the forgotten vitality of great grand Indian Past.Vrindavn Dham had become almost a Jungle by the early 16th Century. No trace of the original place was left at the site. Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu had visited the site in 1514 A.D. and had discovered some of the places mentioned in the Bhagvat Purana. But he was not able to stay here long enough to bring out the complete Glory of The Place.
For Vaishnavites, particularly followers of Lord Krishna, this is one of the most important temples outside Vrindavan.
'Aartis' and 'Bhog' are offered seven times a day, when the deity is unveiled for 'Darshan'. Thousands of devotees visit the temple daily and even larger number visit during Janmashtami.

Shri Bankey Bihari Bhajan(Vrindavan) - हमरो प्रणाम प्रणाम बांके बिहारी को
Shri Bankey Bihari Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, in the holy city of Vrindavan in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. It is situated near Shri RadhaVallabh Temple. This temple is among the 7 temples of Thakur of Vrindavan including Shri Radha Vallabh Ji, Shri Govind Dev Ji, Shri Radha Raman Ji, Shri Radha Madhav Ji, Shri Madan Mohan Ji and Shri Gopinath Ji. Bankey Bihari Ji was originally worshipped at Nidhivana. Bankey means bent in three places and Bihari means supreme enjoyer. The image of Lord Krishna stands in the Tribhanga posture. Haridas Swami originally worshipped this devotional image under the name of Kunj-Bihari (Enjoyer of Lakes).
'Bānke' means 'bent', and 'Bihāri' or 'Vihāri' means 'enjoyer'. This is how Kṛṣṇa, who is bent in three places, got the name Bānke Bihāri. According to Śrī Brahmjaiasaḿhitā, Brahma says the following about Kṛṣṇa:
I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, round whose neck is swinging a garland of flowers beautified with the moon-locket, whose two hands are adorned with the flute and jewelled ornaments, who always revels in pastimes of love, whose graceful threefold-bending form of Śyāmasundara is eternally manifest.
Schedule:
Summers: The temple opens around 7 am and aarti happens between 7:45 and 8:00am. Darshan is at 12 noon and in evening 5:30 to 9:30 pm.
Winter: Darshan is 8:45 am to 1 pm, 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm, and all the time in your heart.
