Places to see in ( Swansea - UK ) Gower Peninsula
Gower or the Gower Peninsula is a peninsula in the south of Wales, projecting westwards into the Bristol Channel. Gower Peninsula is the most westerly part of the county of Glamorgan, however it is currently administered as part of the unitary authority of Swansea. In 1956, Gower became the first area in the United Kingdom to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
About 70 square miles (180 km2) in area, Gower is known for its coastline, popular with walkers and outdoor enthusiasts, especially surfers. Gower has many caves, including Paviland Cave and Minchin Hole Cave. The peninsula is bounded by the Loughor Estuary to the north and Swansea Bay to the east. Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty covers 188 km², including most of the peninsula west of Crofty, Three Crosses, Upper Killay, Blackpill and Bishopston. The highest point of Gower is The Beacon at Rhossili Down at 193 metres (633 ft) overlooking Rhossili Bay. Pwll Du and the Bishopton Valley form a statutory Local Nature Reserve.
The interior of Gower consists mainly of farmland and common land. The population resides mainly in villages and small communities, though suburban development has made a number of communities in eastern Gower part of the Swansea Urban Area. The southern coast consists of a series of small, rocky or sandy bays, such as Langland and Three Cliffs, and larger beaches such as Port Eynon, Rhossili and Oxwich Bay. The north of the peninsula has fewer beaches, and is home to the cockle-beds of Penclawdd.

A Walk Around Oxwich Point, Gower Peninsula Swansea
In This Video I enjoy a walk around Oxwich Point On the Gower Peninsula in Swansea on a very pleasant Wednesday.
Not done this walk for a very long while so I thought I do it.
There are a number of routes to take, but I did the Longer Route through the Woods
And I will be back here very soon to explore another route which will lead us onto the Coast Path.
Whilst on this Walk I enjoy the Views and Scenary of Oxiwch Bay and the Stunning Coast Path that over looks Horton and Port Eynon and finishing up on Slade Beach.
Hope you enjoy the video

Adventure weekend in Swansea Bay, Gower and Mumbles, Wales
I've been wanting to visit South West Wales for ages, so many people I trust have told me to go. Many of you have told me you are keen to go after seeing some of my pictures on Instagram. Gower peninsula was the first place in Britain to be named an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cliffs, sandy beaches, smugglers coves, islands that look like sleeping dragons, castles, plus great activities, stunning accomodation and great grub.
Perfect recipe for a family holiday...

???????????????????????????? Pitton Cross on the Gower Adventure 006
Three nights at Pitton Cross on the Gower Peninsula. This is a nice site in a great location to explore the Gower. The walk to the beach is 1.5 miles which you'll know about on the way there carrying your beer and bbq but it is totally worth it. This is a stunning beach with perfect sand and lots of rocky coves to explore. 10/10.
First Day we cycled around the peninsula, this was a hard ride due to the offload climbs but brilliant. There were a couple of great pubs along the way! The route is...
We walked to the Worms Head and back, a fantastic but fairly hard walk due to the Rocky Terrain. The Route is...

6 HRs CYCLING TO THE MUMBLES ON BANK HOLIDAY
Our bank holiday starts with no bicycle and then we had to walk about a mile to car park that so challenges us as we didn't sure that there's a bicycle in there.
Based on the map states that 40 minutes to go to the mumbles just one way but I don't know why we spend about 6 hrs to go and back. Also, the learning and experience we got that I had a pain in my ass and my friend's back is burned but the most point we got that was learning how to have patience because firstly we never use bicycle system in the UK before so we have to overcome problems such as locking of the wheel or renting the bicycle. Besides, Travel gain us not only know each other more but also learn and understand British people together.
