Gozo coast walk tour part 2
This is the second part of the Gozo (Malta) coast walk. It's a short and practical video of the second part of the walk. The coastal walk is varied with beautiful cliffs, creeks and beaches. You'll also see a lot of fauna and flora.
I did the walk with the support of the maps and tips on the visitgozo.com site. it's very practical and easy.
If you're a beginner, this walk is also for you. (although you have to be in a bit of a condition).
I did the complete tour so, don't hesitate to see the other videos coming up in the next days.

Gozo is an inviting holiday destination, rich in cultural traditions, surrounded by ancient myths and stories of modern-day miracles. There is a varied choice of Gozo accommodation, and when you stay at any local Gozo hotel or holiday villa, you can be sure of a warm welcome from the famously hospitable residents. Legend has it that Gozo was the basis for Ogygia, the island where the nymph Calypso bewitched the Homeric hero Ulysses for seven years. Enjoy a holiday in Gozo and you'll find out just how spellbinding the island can be - in fact, seven years will hardly seem like enough time to explore all the attractions surrounding your Gozo holiday accommodation! Life on Gozo is more restful and rural than on the neighbouring isle of Malta, and many visitors find a Gozo holiday makes an enchanting retreat. The green hills of Gozo stretch from coast to coast on this lush island, and the clear, warm waters offer exceptional Malta diving opportunities for holidaymakers, or wonderful picture postcard views from resorts such as Mgarr. Don't be fooled by the island's laid-back lifestyle though - Gozo holidays offer no shortage of vibrant late-night entertainment! Maltese Carnival Week attracts many visitors from Malta to Gozo, particularly to the village of Nadur. Cheap holiday accommodation on Gozo is often scarce during the March carnival, as crowds of costumed revellers celebrate this colourful cultural event; tourists and locals alike will fill up the holiday apartments and villas of Gozo in order to join in the festivities! Village feasts honouring patron saints are also an important Gozo tradition, and you're likely to experience a celebration like this during a Gozo summer holiday in one of our resorts such as San Lawrenz and Xaghra, as villagers celebrate with fireworks and live music. From luxury 5 star hotels to cheap self catering accommodation, you can be sure of finding the perfect spot to spend your getaway when you contact Malta Direct about our Gozo package holidays.
Comino is a jewel of an island situated between Malta and Gozo; the discerning few who choose to stay on Comino can expect to enjoy a truly luxurious holiday experience, swimming in Comino's iridescent blue waters or indulging in lazy days on the sandy beach. The famous Blue Lagoon of Comino, with its white sands and diverse marine life, is a haven for snorkellers and divers. In fact, some say Comino's Blue Lagoon is the best Malta diving site in the Mediterranean! One of Comino's most famous landmarks is St. Mary's Tower, which dates back to 1416, and was restored between 2002 and 2004. The historic watch tower is the island's most notable structure; tourists from hotels and bungalows around Comino visit this site to take in the spectacular views. Comino is also a bird sanctuary and nature reserve.
With over 40 years experience you can trust that Malta Direct is committed to taking care of your every need, from enquiry stage right through to your return home.
Grand Gozo Farmhouses | MyMaltaStory by Air Malta
In spite of its small size Gozo is full of things to do and places to visit, so you may want to dedicate a few days of your holiday to really exploring this fascinating island. One way to do this would be to rent a room at a hotel, but if you're looking for a more authentic and autonomous experience you could also consider renting a Gozitan farmhouse for a few nights. There are plenty of these around and most can be found and booked online. These make for a great bases from which to venture out and discover Gozo at your own pace.

Gozo Ebike Tour and Gozo Cycling
After being collected at the Mgarr Ferry Terminal from Malta we travelled through Victoria the Capital of Gozo to Xewkija where my ebike and guide awaited to take me on an amazing leisurely journey for a 20 mile ride through glorious countryside, clifftops, beaches and villages.
We headed North East towards Xaghra but on the outskirts of town we turned down a narrow country lane which we followed through small farms for 2 miles before heading back to the main road. We could have rode on to Ramla Bay and Ramla beach to visit the Calypso Cave but instead we skirted the eastern boundary of Xaghra Northwards for 3 miles to Marsalforn, all the while stopping to take photos of all the beauty that is Gozo.
At Marsalforn we stopped to buy a packed lunch and water before pushing on for just another mile to the Salt Pans where we stumbled upon a promotion video being recorded for Red Bull by one of their Pro cycling stunt men.
Another mile along the cliff tops to Reqqa Point and Billinghurst Cavern, past Wied il-Ghasri to Wied ll-Mielah before heading for the Crafts Village of Għarb.
Gozo is famous for granite carving, silver filigree and lace, hand-blown glassware and honey which can all be seen here in Gharb being crafted by skilled locals who will be happy to sell you their unique wares.
But that will have to wait for another day, as we turned sharply Eastwards to visit the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu, a Roman Catholic minor basilica and national shrine located close by.
The church is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu and is the only place where we met with a small group of tourists come to visit this site.
Across the road is a long track leading up to the shrine from farmland in the valley with stations of the cross carved in marble.
After a stop here for more photographs, we cycled on through Ghasri with church domes pointing to the sky over every valley, back towards Victoria, passing the Gozo Folklore Museum, the old prison, Gozo Museum of Archeology, the Opera House, St.Georges Basilica through the very heart of Victoria St.Francis Square to the South coast at Mgarr ix-Xini with amazing views of the secluded bay.
From Mgarr ix-Xini it was Northwards again for the last 4 miles through Tingi and Batista with it’s rotunda of St.John Baptist Church to our start and finish point at Xewkija.
This cycle ride was the most picturesque, leisurely cycle ride I’ve ever done in my life, and I never wanted it to end. There are so many alternative cycle routes to take on the Island of Gozo, and already I’ve mapped out a couple which I’ll do when I next return to Gozo in a few months time.
This ebike Ride will take me back through San Lawrenze and Blue Hole to Dweirja Bay and the Inland Sea Dive-site to take a boat trip from the Inland Sea and dive centre, through and under the cliffs out into the open sea to view where the Azure Window stood until recently.
Follow the coast down from here past Dwejra Bay, Fungus Rock, Wardija Punic Temple, SAN Raflu Lake to picturesque Xlendi Bay with a visit to Xlendi Tower and return to Xewkija and Victoria through the farms of Munxar.
There are just so many routes to safely ride cycles either off road or even on road, or you could just as well hire a Segway tour and pretty much do just the same mileage.
Of course if neither of these activities is for you, these cycle and Segway routes can just as easily be done by walking, there’s a bus route to many parts of Gozo to get you to the start point or from the finish point of your tour.
