Free Charter Day Tours and Lecture at Graeme Park, Horsham

On March 8 all PHMC administered historic sites are open for free tours and programs. Graeme Park will be hosting a lecture on 18th and 21st c. finance and credit by Dr. Bruce Rader of the Fox School of Business at Temple University. Sir William Keith, the 14th governorn of Pennsylvania, will be debating James Logan on the introduction of paper money to Pennsylvania in a living history scenario, and there will be free tours of the historic Keith House at Graeme Park, hearth cooking demonstrations and a presentation on the Pennsylvania Charter.

Celebrating Charter Day in Pennsylvania

PA State Rep. Scott Petri recently discussed the passage of House Resolution 96, which commemorates March 14 as Charter Day in Pennsylvania. Charter Day recognizes the founding of the Commonwealth.

Digging In Pennsylvania Hunt

We went to a paid Hunt in Horsham Pennsylvania. The site was near Graham Park it was 1820 to 1830 house sites. Over 40 old coins found along with buttons and musket balls. Large cent, King George coppers and Spanish reales were also found. George Savino put on a great hunt and I met a lot of people from YouTube and Facebook that I hadn't meet in person. We had our BLISSTOOL metal detectors booth set up and gave away a BLISSTOOL v3-v6. Lots of good prizes were given away. Awesome weather and a fantastic pig roast were enjoyed by all. Thanks to George for putting on this hunt I know it was a lot of work!

Dr. Mogyoros is a native of Denver, CO. He came to Philadelphia to attend the University of Pennsylvania. After receiving his BA, he was admitted to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he graduated near the top of his class. He was then admitted to a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Thomas Jefferson University hospital, where he was elected chief resident in his final year. He then was accepted to a prestigious Implant Surgical fellowship (only one fellow a year is accepted) at the Colorado Institute for Bioengineering.

Dr. Funt is a native Philadelphian. He grew up in the northeast section of the city and has been dedicated to the greater Philadelphia community his entire life. He attended Penn State, where he received his bachelor’s degree. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he earned his DMD. He went on to the Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital where he did a one-year residency in anesthesiology performing anesthesia on patients having procedures that ranged from the removal of impacted teeth to open heart surgery. This was followed by a three-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
