Graffiti Alley Toronto (walking tour 4k)
My walk around Graffiti Alley Toronto, filmed in 4k.
The Toronto Graffiti Alley is situated between Queen St West and Richmond St, and stretches from Spadina Ave to Portland St.
This is one of the few areas where people are actually allowed to graffiti, but it must be done with the permission of the building owners. Some of the artwork spans upwards to three storeys and is quite impressive.
There's some narration in this video.
Former secret swing site- 2:02 - the secret swing was put up in a tight space in the alley but it has since been torn down and gated.
Three storey high aquatic themed mural- 11:15 to 12:40
Tribute mural to Mike Kennedy, Toronto Street artist who passed away- 14:10
Toronto mural with lots to see- 15:10
GRAFFITI ALLEY TORONTO | ONTARIO, CANADA
Graffiti Alley in The Fashion District runs south of Queen Street West from Spadina Avenue to Portland Street beginning at 1 rush lane, Toronto, Ontario Canada . It is one of the best known location to see in Toronto.
The narrow stretch runs for over a half-mile and every nook and cranny is covered in street art. Think of Graffiti Alley as an open-air gallery or living museum that encapsulates the vibrancy and diversity of Toronto.
Here you’ll find art by some of the most renowned street artists in Toronto, including Uber5000, Elicser, Poser, Skam, Spud, and many more. But do keep in mind that while one mural or art piece that exists one year, could be gone the next time you visit. Artists are regularly painting over old works and replacing them with new creations.

Exploring Toronto's neighborhoods
One of the things I wanted to do when I visited Toronto was to explore Graffiti Alley, since I am a huge fan of urban art. I came to the alley, and was not disappointed . This alley stretches from Spadina and Portland Street, and is easy to access from Queen St. Its a perfect spot for pictures. There is tours for the alley, but you can walk around on your own as I did. This alley is legal to paint street art in the walls as long as you get permission from the building. If your into urban art, I highly recommend that you check out Graffiti Alley in Toronto. Hope you enjoy this vlog, stay tune for more.

Discover Toronto’s complicated relationship with street art
Graffiti is thriving in today's Toronto — but there's more to that story than you might think.
»Subscribe to CBC Arts to watch more videos:
In the 1980s, Toronto City Council debated a controversial law that would require exterior walls be kept free of slogans and markings, those which deface or disfigure. Two decades later, former Toronto mayor Rob Ford promised, Everywhere that there is graffiti, I will guarantee that we will be removing it.
But today as you look around Toronto, the art form is thriving. A simple walk down Graffiti Alley — the first legalized graffiti zone in the city — can feel like rush hour traffic with the amount of photographers, engaged couples and bloggers hoping to give their Instagram account some street cred. Clearly, public perception has changed over the years. And one of the artists at the forefront of that evolution has been Elicser.
In the above video, CBC Arts: Exhibitionists host Amanda Parris visits Elicser in his studio, providing a fun and intimate look at an artist who prefers to let his work speak for him.
