Meet us every Sunday in the beautiful Botanical Garden of Palermo where we begin our bike tour with a thorough orientation; introducing you to the city, your bicycle and each other. In collaboration with graffitimundo (walking urban art tours), this tour takes you through the backstreets on bikes to unveil the best graffiti art in the city.
Starting in Palermo Soho, witness the colorful murals spread all over this quaint neighborhood before entering the quiet streets of Villa Crespo. After stopping several times to learn and appreciate the inspiration of local and international artists, we pass by (entering if open) the artists studio to try and meet the people behind the spray can to get a personal perspective of the celebrated Buenos Aires street art.
After zigzagging throughout inner city Buenos Aires, we find ourselves at a Palermo Hollywood bus station designated for artists to express themselves on every surrounding wall. The last stop of our Sunday ride is at Post Bar where stencil art dominates the walls at Hollywood in Cambodia. Upstairs you will find a constantly changing art studio and a grand terraza where you can purchase art and enjoy a beverage.
Our tour ends back at our meeting point in the Botanical Garden where we recapture the day and suggest some BA must do’s. Lasting approximately 3.5 hours, we follow many bike trails and stop around 8 times to take photos, drink and learn about Yerba Mate, and enjoy a fun, creative and informative tour led by expert bilingual guides.

Street art in Buenos Aires is everywhere; it's rare to see a wall in San Telmo that has been left unmolested. I really didn't understand what was going on and why it is so prolific here. Thankfully, I ended up going on the Graffitimundo North City tour and getting some much needed perspective.
I was able to capture some video of our guide explaining the street art that is associated with Mothers of Plaza de Mayo, I found it interesting, so I hope you do too.

The Talking Walls of Buenos Aires, Graffitimundo
This is an art show curated by Graffitimundo ( in Washingtond, DC (July 2013).
Buenos Aires is a fascinating and wonderful city. The passion of its artists is so strong that it literally spills onto the walls of the city -- particularly in el barrio de Palermo.
Other than the occasional community group commandeering a wall and painting a mural, there is nothing in the United States to compare with the world of art & graffiti in Buenos Aires. Much of our graffiti is drug and gang-related. Not so in Buenos Aires. The walls are a canvas for vibrant and fluid artistic, political and/or social expression.

Buenos Aires elevates street art to new level
Street art is usually associated with graffiti, but it is a different story in the Argentinian capital of Buenos Aires, where it is being elevated to a new level, turning the streets into an open air art gallery.

In Buenos Aires, street artists have found a surplus of empty walls to splash their colors on including several giant murals of famous Argentine footballers Diego Maradona and Carlos Tevez. Local artists Martin Ron, Lean Frizzera and Emy Mariani painted Maradona scoring his legendary Hand of God goal against England during the 1986 World Cup.
