Grahadi State Building

Grahadi State Building is a building in Surabaya, East Java, which was built in 1795 during the reign Residan Dirk Van Hogendorps (1794-1798). In the beginning, this building was overlooks to the Kalimas in the north side, so that on the afternoon of the occupants while drinking tea we could see the boats which were passing. Nowadays, the function of the building is an official residence of Governor of East Java.

Jawa Pos Cycling Audax East Java 2014 an official event of Audax Indonesia, the official license holder from L'Union des Audax Francais (UAF) in France.

This year will be the second edition of Jawa Pos Cycling Audax East Java, with route from Surabaya heading to Banyuwangi with one night spent at Jember city. The total distance gained 333 km with maximum time 14/15 hours.

Governor Suryo Monument

The Monument of Governor Suryo is the respect presentation to the first East Java Governor who had killed during PKI rebellion in Madiun 1948. This monument located in near to Apsari Park Complex in Gubernur Suryo Street in front of Grahadi State Building.

Under that statue, there is Speech inscription at November 9th 1945 on 23.00 Pm in Nirom Broadcast, Embong Malang Street Surabaya (Nowadays is JW Marriott Hotel), it is written: Repeatedly we have told that our position is better fallen to pieces than colonized again. Also now in face ultimatum of English, we will hold firmly this position. We still refuse the ultimatum.

APSARI PARK - SURABAYA CITY PARKS | Taman Apsari - Taman Kota Surabaya

Apsari Park have a Statue Monument of Governor Suryo. He’s first Governor of East Java. There is text of his speech when reject ultimatum of Colonizer. In front of Apsari Park, there are Grahadi Building that built in 1975, used as a Goverment office during colonial era. Apsari Park have futsal field with syntethic grass that you can use for free.
