4. The Balconies - Leave Balconies for the evening. It's a short stroll to the balconies.
5. Reed Lookout - After The Balconies, wait for the sunset in Reed Lookout. The best spots are around the watch tower.

Melbourne Makenzie Falls at the Grampians
This weekend I went camping and had such a wildlife experience hanging out wild kangaroos, going hiking and sightseeing some amazing view points at the Grampians. One of my favorite places were the hidden waterfalls! Watch to find out where they are.

Set your Alarm Clock - The Grampians. Ep.45
THE GRAMPIANS, Victoria ⛰????????
We headed to the popular Grampians with no clue what to expect. We had been told it was Victoria's number one national park, so our expectations were high. ????
Well, after a 5 night stay - we can happily confirm we had a great time exploring this beautiful area!
We setup our caravan at The Plantation Campground, which is a FREE camp????, 10minutes north of Halls Gap! It is technically out of the National Park area so it is DOG FRIENDLY! How good is that. It has plenty of campsites, toilets, bucket showers, bore water taps and lots of fire pits! ????
During our 5 day expedition we did;
- Mt Abrupt summit (6.3km return)
- Wonderland loop - Venus baths, Splitters falls, Grand Canyon & The Pinnacles (9.6km loop)
- Tasted tested ice-cream at the local ice-creamery
- Explored the old Mafeking gold town
- Mt Staplyton summit (4km return)
- Hollow Mountain summit (2.2km return)
- MacKenzie Falls (2km return)
- Visited the Billimina Shelter of Aboriginal rock art (2.2km return)
- Explored some back roads and 4WD tracks around the Grampians
- The Balconies and Reeds lookout (2km return)
We also met up with lots of fellow travelers at our campsite each night. It was great having a chat over the campfire each night with different people. I think it made our stay that much more memorable. ????
Tips;
- go to the info centre and get yourself some maps so you can plan what you want to see. ????
- Plantation campground was quite popular, so make sure you get in early to grab a spot before the backpackers all roll in.
- You can have hot showers at the info centre, in town for $3 per person ????
- Make sure you take a backpack with plenty of snacks, water etc. and wear good walking shoes!
- There were plenty of bins around the Halls Gap town-park to deposit your rubbish ????
Overall a great 5 days exploring the Grampians and we definitely covered some kilometres over those days.
We will rest our legs ready for our next adventure - enroute to Flinders Ranges!

The Epic Melbourne Road Trip — Great Ocean Road, The Otways, Grampians | The Travel Intern
Recently, we challenged one of our teams to come up with THE ULTIMATE road trip around Victoria, Australia. No epic road trip around Victoria is complete with places like Great Ocean Road, Grampians, Yarra and Otway!
Check out what we did in this 8-day itinerary for Victoria's best adventures:
MELBOURNE
00:20 - Hosier Lane
Experience street art like never before in this culturally rich street, critically acclaimed for their urban art.
00:24 - Eureka Skydeck
Get to the highest observatory in the southern hemisphere to catch a breathtaking panoramic sunset.
00:30 - Queen Victoria Market
A food market with a huge variety of dishes sure to satisfy everybody's taste palates.
00:37 - Yarra Valley
Enjoy the famous Australian wine during your food gourmet tour.
00:44 - Brighton Beach
Whip your cameras out for photo opportunities at the colourful bathing boxes!
THE GREAT OCEAN ROAD
01:02 - Gibson Steps
Connect with nature at this coastline, well-known for the many cliffs in the sea.
01:13 - 12 Apostles
Another site well-known for their limestone structure.
01:26 - Loch Ard Gorge
We highly recommend trekking some of the trails here where you can learn about the rich history of various rock stacks like the Razorbacks.
01:31 - The Grotto
This was our personal favourite along the Great Ocean Road!
01:37 - London Bridge
The two pieces of land used to be connected but has since been eroded.
01:41 - The Arch
Forming a mini waterfall in the sea, this place is super breathtaking!
GRAMPIANS
01:55 - The Balconies
Also known as Jaws of Death because the structure resembles the jaws of a T-rex, The Balconies offer a panoramic view of the lush mountains.
02:04 - Mackenzie Falls
Visit one of Victoria's largest waterfalls. Don't end your adventure just there! Take a one kilometre walk to Bluff Lookout or down a steep trail down to the base of the waterfall for killer views!
02:15 - Reeds Lookout
Enjoy a sunset over the mountains and one of the best scenic views of Victoria Valley.
02:25 — 02:33 - Grand Canyon, The Pinnacle
Hike up The Pinnacle via The Grand Canyon. Again, photo opportunities are everywhere!
THE OTWAYS
02:48 - Hopetoun Falls
If you're not in a rush for time, we recommend the 30 minutes return route to the base of the waterfall to catch spectacular sights of Hopetoun Falls.
02:54 - California Redwoods
Sequoia trees towering over all of us, it was quite a sight to behold. Great stopover place for lunch!

Things to do at Grampians National Park day trip - Victoria, Australia
More info about Grampians National Park:
So, yea, if you are thinking of heading to Grampians, it would take about 3 hours to get to Halls Gap, which is the little town at the base of the mountain. Here you can get a map and also a quick bite to eat. but there isn't really much food there, so bring some of your own.
Mckenzie Falls is the furthest stop away and requires a hike down and back up once all your pictures are taken. it is a beautiful waterfall. Also, keep your eye out for Wallabies hopping around.
Next up is Reeds lookout or Reids, I'm not actually sure. but yeah, this one's great for pictures. no hike required, you can just drive up to it.
Lastly is Boroka Lookout, the view here is great and is the closest to Halls Gap. Also, no hike required, just drive up to the view and enjoy it.
There is one place that we didn't get to visit, and that's the Pinnacle. its a 2-hour hike and we just ran out of time. so yea.
Have fun!
