Europe Bike Tour - Day 5 - Antequera to Granada, Spain
Day 5 of 30: Traveling from Antequera, Spain to Granada, Spain by bike. We decided to spend most of the day exploring Antequera landmarks and then taking a bus to Granada through the hilly road.
Our bicycle tour was self-supported and self-organized. We packed all the stuff we needed for the trip and carried with us the whole way.

The Estepa Gate, Bullring and Paseo Real
Antequera is the capital of a large county in the north of Malaga province, Andalucia, Spain. Widely accepted as the centre of Andalucia due to Antequera bordering Seville, Cordoba and Granada. Antequera was once tipped to be the capital of Andalucia but alas, it was not to be.
Antequera has a lot to offer the tourist such as, the Plaza de Toros or Bullring, the Estepa Gate, the castle and tower of Homenaje, churches, cathedrals and plenty of other historical monuments and places of worship. There is plenty to see and do in Antequera.
The main avenue in Antequera is Calle Infante Don Fernando which runs from the North-West to the South-East of the town and is joined by Calle Alemeda de Andalucia by Estepa Gate at the North-West and finishes at Plaza San Sebastian at the South-East. Along this avenue there are bars, banks, shops, offices, restaurants, the town hall and the daily hustle and bustle of Antequera life.
At the end of the Calle Alameda is the Estepa Gate which has undergone renovation and opposite are the gardens of the Paseo Real, opposite the Antequera Bullring. The bullring is a basic brick and masonry affair with an external diameter of 80m and an internal diameter of 56m, this also contains the bullfighting museum. The Bullring has also undergone renovation and re-enforcement and has been the property of the local authority since 1980.

Ademas de El Torcal fondo marino de hace dos millones de años cuyas rocas erosionadas presentan un impresionante paisaje. En el otro lado de la ciudad la Montaña de los enamorados. The inhabitants of the city are known as sevillanos (feminine form: sevillanas) or hispalenses, after the Roman name of the city, Hispalis. Seville has a municipal population of about 690,000 as of 2016, and a metropolitan population of about 1.5 million, making it the fourth-largest city in Spain and the 30th most populous municipality in the European Union. Seville was founded as the Roman city of Hispalis. It became known as Ishbiliyya after the Muslim conquest in 712. All in all, with a little decoration and styling, and possibly a nice extension with a porch and installing a pool, a very charming B & B can arise here, or as it is today, it can serve as a large family house with additional features as tourist business.
Telephone, internet, water, electricity and sewerage are connected, all the papers are available. A perfect location off which there are not many to step in immediately and turn it into your hand.
