Orphans of ISIS: A grandmother's journey to rescue her grandchildren from Syria | Four Corners
Four Corners exclusively brings you the story of the Sharrouf children and their grandmother's epic fight to find them and bring them home to Australia.
The children of the notorious jihadist Khaled Sharrouf were taken to the self-declared caliphate in 2014.
The world learned of them after their father published pictures of his eldest son holding the severed head of an IS prisoner, sending shockwaves around the world.
For five years their grandmother, Karen Nettleton, has been trying to reach the children and bring them home.
She has mounted several rescue missions, with each one ending in failure. Now, in Syria, she's making a last-ditch effort to save them from the squalid al-Hawl refugee camp.

Grandmother wants grandchildren back from Syria
A Sydney grandmother has made an emotional appeal for the safe return of her daughter and five grandchildren from Syria.
The problem is, this is the family of Aussie terrorist Khaled Sharrouf, who fought for Islamic State (IS) and who is now believed to be dead.
You may also recall that the children were pictured posing for photographs with severed heads.
Australia correspondent Daniel Sutton joined Paul Henry this morning.
[They] had a perfectly normal life in Australia before their mother dragged them off to Syria about a year ago to be with their father on the battlefield. They have experienced all sorts of horrors. They held up dead people, posing with guns in front of IS flags and being on the battlefield. Their old-school says no way would they be able to fit back in. The Prime Minster also says he won’t be doing this family any favours.
