Grandview Natural Preserve. Hampton, VA. DJI Phantom 3 Standard
Visited Grandview Natural Preserve on the Chesapeake Bay during a family weekend trip to Hampton, VA. Shot video using a DJI Phantom 3 Standard. Filmed my wife and kids using the Point of Interest Intelligent Flight Mode. The shot at the end shows the drone flying up to the maximum 400' ceiling for a UAV hobbyist set by the FAA (to give viewers an idea of what the 400' view looks like).

Grandview park received a colorful makeover
Grandview resident Jamie Chapman has rallied several residents to help beautify their beloved neighborhood. Most recently he and more than 20 volunteers have cleaned up and added a mural at the end of Beach Road. The green space was previously dedicated to longtime resident Mary Jo Hogge, who helped up keep the neighborhood and others throughout Hampton.

Today is March 13th 2017and I am in Hampton Virginia Virginia, a southeastern U.S. state, stretches from the Chesapeake Bay to the Appalachian Mountains, with a long Atlantic coastline. It's one of the 13 original colonies, with historic landmarks including Monticello, founding father Thomas Jefferson’s iconic Charlottesville plantation. Hiking to Monster Rock near Big Walker Lookout and Country Store in Wythe County, Virginia
MONSTER ROCK!!!! No, not 1980s hair metal...Monster Rock is an incredibly large (as the name implies) rock formation along the crest of Big Walker Mountain near the Big Bend area. To reach Monster Rock, take the Walker Mountain Trail. The trailhead is just behind the privately owned Big Walker Lookout and Country Store along Hwy 52 at the Bland-Wythe County line in southwest Virginia. Monster Rock starts just about a 1/4 mile down the trail, but the great overlook of the valley is found about 3/4 mile in from the trailhead. Great views of Garden Mountain, Round Mountain, and of course Walker Mountain as well. Great views can also be had from the state road and around the property of the country store.
