Grant Park, Milwaukee Tour
Went to grant park and the seven bridges trail and this is a walking tour.
New Play Space Unites Milwaukee Neighborhood
In Milwaukee, Wisconsin the community surrounding Foundation Park sought to celebrate the rich Hmong culture of its neighbors through a park improvement project funded in part by the Meet Me at the Park Play Spaces Grant Program. For many years, the pocket-park, a victim of arson, had stood with only a couple of swings for local children to enjoy. Now the park is filled with new equipment and delighted kids who are greeted upon entry with vibrant playground surfacing and “peace poles” created by members of the community. The peace poles are embedded with handmade pottery as well as pieces of paper containing their hopes and dreams for their neighborhood’s future. The park improvements have opened up access to play and opportunities for residents to come together as friends and neighbors.
The park is managed by the City of Milwaukee and part of the MKE Plays Initiative. Thank you to the City and the Hmong American Friendship Association for their help in putting this video together.
As part of The Walt Disney Company’s commitment to healthy living, Meet Me at the Park has brought the fun of parks and recreation to children and families across the United States since 2014. This program is part of NRPA and Disney’s commitment to provide 1 million kids and families with greater access to play — ensuring everyone has a safe place to play, learn and live a healthier lifestyle.

[Latest Airdate: August 9, 2018]
[Original Airdate: February 26,2015]
South Milwaukee has a sports memorabilia museum that makes your jaw drop, the only NASCAR store in Wisconsin, a Martial Arts Master and a huge park to play any sport you want. We didn’t just find sports seekers in Grant Park. We found Nels the historian and bird nerds, and down the block, the only hosta-holics we ever met. South Milwaukee also has everything you need to woo your loved one. There are flowers, jewelry, a night at the theater and a restaurant with 20 flavors of margaritas! (8 of 13)

Tour of Milwaukee, WI
I have about 7 minutes of Bad Driver clips that will be uploaded as soon as I have about 10 minutes of footage. Expect that video to come in the next few days.
The Route:
I start in South Milwaukee, work my way up Lake Drive and Kinnickinnic until I get to Walkers Point and eventually Downtown.
After doing a loop through the Lower East Side I head through Marquette's campus, across the 16th street viaduct, over the Menomonee River Valley and back south to Oak Creek.
I finish back in South Milwaukee after a drive through Grant Park, eventually ending the video at the same point where it began.
The Day:
I woke up earlier than usual and noticed the foggy weather. I knew I wanted to go for a drive, and knew that the cloudy weather would provide for a good image.
This was a Tuesday morning in early March, a little after rush hour. I started at 8:30 and got back at around 9:45.
If there is any area that you want to see more of, or any area that I didn't include on this drive let me know and I will try and get some more footage for you.
There are many areas that are not included in this video (White Fish Bay, UWM's campus, the Freeway System, the Airport Loop, and much, much more).
Milwaukee Drive up Lake Drive
PLEASE SEE NEW CHANNEL -- Bad drivers, Milwaukee Tours, and Seattle.
A drive on Tuesday afternoon with my GoPro Hero 3 in early spring. Started in South Milwaukee, through Grant Park, up Lake Drive and through Bay View.
This is the first video of many. I now know that it's not a good idea to record when the sun is out unless the camera's faced more on the road. So I'm learning, but hopefully I'll get some good footage of Milwaukee to show you guys.
I'm making these pretty much just to give people an idea of what Milwaukee is like. There's a lot of negative stereotypes (such as its just one big ghetto), which are not true. Every place in this video, and likely in all my other videos, I would be willing to walk alone at night.

As I'm in Milwaukee one of the first things I wanted to do was go to the beach. As I continue this vlogging series I'll be talking about building your own personal brand and bettering yourself as a person. Also adding a ton of insane b-roll along the way. Hope you guys enjoyed and I'd appreciate it if you would share this with your friends.

Places to see in ( Milwaukee - USA )
Places to see in ( Milwaukee - USA )
Milwaukee is a city in the U.S. state of Wisconsin on Lake Michigan's western shore. It's known for its breweries, many of which offer tours chronicling its role in the beer industry. Overlooking the Menomonee River, the Harley-Davidson Museum displays classic motorcycles, including one of Elvis Presley’s. Nearby is the Milwaukee Public Museum, with its large-scale European Village and a recreation of old Milwaukee.
Milwaukee has historically been a major immigrant city. During the early 20th Century, German and Polish immigrants tended to dominate, and the city still strongly identifies with its German and, to a slightly lesser extent, Polish heritage. For part of the early 20th century German was even the main language of the city, and German names are still very common.
Milwaukee is home to some instantly recognized corporations such as Miller Brewing and Harley Davidson. Harley holds an enormous celebration on every fifth anniversary during Labor Day weekend attracting riders (and celebrity riders such as Jay Leno) by the millions to Milwaukee each time. The 115th anniversary was held in 2018.
Here’s the thing about Milwaukee: it’s cool, but for some reason it slips under the radar. The city’s reputation as a working man's town of brewskis, bowling alleys and polka halls still persists. But attractions like the Calatrava-designed art museum, badass Harley-Davidson Museum and stylish eating and shopping enclaves have turned Wisconsin's largest city into an unassumingly groovy place. In summertime, festivals let loose with revelry by the lake almost every weekend. And where else on the planet will you see racing sausages?
Getting around in Milwaukee is easy. Block numbers are consistent across the city, including most of the suburbs, starting roughly where the Milwaukee and Menominee rivers meet. All numbered streets run north-south, increasing in number as you head west from 1st Street. Most named streets go east-west.

We were there in October or 2009. The fall colors were peaking out of the trees, and the fall coolness was blanketing the whole day.
