England's Lake District is one of the prettiest parts of the United Kingdom as we'll show you in our driving tour that's going to be visiting most of the lakes of this wonderful area in the northwest of Great Britain, sharing with you some astonishingly pretty views.
We'll also visit some of the small towns that dot this landscape and we will take you on a boat ride from one end of Ullswater to the other, it's the second largest Lake in the Lake District, although it's only 9 miles long, so you'll find that the Lake District is relatively compact in size.
It's about 30 miles wide and about 40 miles from north to south, all included in the National Park that was created in 1951.

Little Parrock in Grasmere - Holiday Cottage Sleeps 10
Surrounded by mountains and pastures, Little Parrock is a large holiday house down an 'access only' lane in Grasmere - the village is a 15 minute walk away.
The house sleeps 10 in two king-sized bedrooms, one double, one triple and one single. The sitting room is large with beautiful views and an open fire. The kitchen has dining area attached. There are two bathrooms, one with bath & shower, and the other with a shower.
Grasmere is probably one of the Lake District's most popular villages thanks to William Wordsworth who lived here at the turn of the 19th Century. The village itself has plenty of shops to provide for your everyday need, and it is well known for its gingerbread and fine food. There are many places in and around Grasmere where you can enjoy a meal out or simply sup a leisurely pint after a long day's walking, biking or simply relaxing.
