Friday Sermon at Gaza Mosque
A preacher at a mosque in Gaza reveals what the religious leadership in the Palestinian territory really thinks about Israel, Jews and America.
The Palestinian city Gaza is floating on a sea of ruinsغزة عائمة على بحرمن الآثار
Gaza is the gateway to Asia and the gateway to Africa and has been through the ages the key to trade, war and stability for any ruler
It is therefore the second capital of Palestine
It is the only city in the world that has been repeatedly and repeatedly destroyed in the clash of civilizations Every time it fills its wounds, it rises and cries out to start again
Gaza is the first Palestinian city to enter historical records. Ancient Egyptian texts have been preserved as a major city since the middle of the Bronze Age
Gaza is known by archaeologists as a floating city on a sea of monuments
The Zionist occupation realized this by looting the important monuments of it in a planned and systematic manner known as the massacre of antiquities
One of the most prominent archaeological sites in its old town is the Great Mosque of Omari, one of the oldest archaeological mosques in Palestine
It was built by the Canaanites 3,000 years ago in the form of a pagan temple and then converted to the Church of Avdoksia, and then turned to the Umari Mosque in relation to Omar ibn al-Khattab may Allah be pleased with him
Al-Sayed Hashim Mosque, which is believed to be the tomb of Hashim, is located in the Al-Basha Palace. Today it is a museum and a tourist shrine, the Church of St. Proverius and the Mosque of the writer of the province adjacent to the church
Gaza City is located southwest of Palestine on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and in the northern Gaza Strip, and is the largest city with half the population of the Gaza Strip

Gaza is famous for some heritage industries such as carpets and furniture made of bamboo, embroidery, copper and textile, which prevented the siege of Gaza today without export to Europe
It is said that the name gauze in the English language Goz to Gaza and also Gazon relative to Gaza, a type of cloth made of silk
Gaza has given birth to stars such as Imam Shafi'i, the poet and writer Al-Musergi Moin Bseisu, and the great poet Harun Al-Rashid, who sang to him Fairuz, we will go back to our days and drown in the warmth of the dead .. We will return days no matter how long the distance between us
Today, the obstacles to the steadfastness of Gaza and its people are being curtailed after a bloody 11-year siege
Tasted the horrors of three wars that have killed life and its nests have sunk in the liver of a sleeper nation and will remain a martyr for the injustice of the world and a disgrace to the human brow, but it has not been able to kill the man who, with his sacrifices and pure blood,

This a sample video shows how Israel arny destroyed palestinian mosques in Gaza strip.
Israeli strikes on Gaza Strip; amath of strike on mosque
Overnight Israeli airstrikes have destroyed a mosque in the Shati refugee camp, on the outskirts of Gaza City.
Dozens of shocked residents surveyed the scene in the early hours of Wednesday.
The mosque's builder, Mohammad Sousi, couldn't believe his eyes.
One hundred and 38 persons pray (here) five times a day, and where will we go now? Is this right for Mr. Netanyahu? I don't know what has happened, he said.
Sousi, a World War Two veteran, added: I fought between the English and the Germans, it wasn't like this war, it wasn't like this war. This is not war what he (Netanyahu) is doing.
The strike came a day after Israel unleashed its heaviest air and artillery assault in the bloodiest day of the three-week Gaza war, destroying key symbols of Hamas control, shutting down the territory's only power plant and leaving at least 128 Palestinians dead.
Israeli's military continued to strike areas around Gaza City on Wednesday morning.

Here's a breakdown of why the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem is a constant point of contention in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
#MasjidAqsa #AlQuds #HistoryOfAlQuds
Why al-Aqsa is so important?
Al-Aqsa is the name of the silver-domed mosque inside a 35-acre compound referred to as al-Haram al-Sharif, or the Noble Sanctuary, by Muslims, and as the Temple Mount by Jews. The compound lies in the Old City of Jerusalem, which has been designated a World Heritage site by the United Nations cultural agency, UNESCO, and is important to the three Abrahamic religions.
The site has been the most contested piece of territory in the Holy Land since Israel occupied East Jerusalem, including the Old City, in 1967, along with the West Bank and Gaza Strip. However, the conflict dates even further back, to before the creation of Israel.
In 1947, the UN drew up a partition plan to separate historical Palestine, then under British control, into two states: one for Jews, mainly from Europe, and one for Palestinians. The Jewish state was given 55 percent of the land, and the remaining 45 percent was for a Palestinian state.

The first Arab-Israeli war broke out in 1948 after Israel declared statehood, capturing some 78 percent of the land, with the remaining areas of the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza coming under Egyptian and Jordanian control.
Israel's increasing encroachment on the land intensified in 1967, after the second Arab-Israeli war, which resulted in the Israeli occupation of East Jerusalem, and eventually the illegal Israeli annexation of Jerusalem, including the Old City and al-Aqsa.
The illegal Israeli control of East Jerusalem, including the Old City, violates several principles of international law, which outlines that an occupying power does not have sovereignty in the territory it occupies.
Palestinians in Jerusalem, who number around 400,000, hold only permanent residency status, not citizenship, despite being born there - in contrast with Jews who are born in the city. And, since 1967, Israel has embarked on quiet deportation of the city's Palestinians by imposing difficult conditions for them to maintain their residency status.
For Muslims, the Noble Sanctuary hosts Islam's third holiest site, the al-Aqsa Mosque, and the Dome of the Rock, a seventh-century structure believed to be where the Prophet Muhammad ascended to heaven.
Jews believe the compound is where the Biblical Jewish temples once stood, but Jewish law and the Israeli Rabbinate forbid Jews from entering the compound and praying there, as it is considered too holy to tread upon.
Referring to Trump's intention to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, Saudi Arabia's king said: such a dangerous step is likely to inflame the passions of Muslims around the world due to the great status of Jerusalem and the al-Aqsa Mosque.
Tensions have been simmering near al-Aqsa for the past two years. In 2015, clashes broke out after hundreds of Jews tried to enter the mosque complex to commemorate a Jewish holiday.
A year later, protests also erupted after visits by groups of Jewish settlers to the compound during the last 10 days of Islam's holy month of Ramadan, in contravention of tradition.
Tensions have risen after Israel shut down al-Aqsa Mosque compound for the first time since 1969, after a deadly gun battle between Palestinian citizens of Israel and Israeli forces.
The attack, which took place on July 14, ended in the deaths of two Israeli police officers and three Palestinian attackers. Israel subsequently closed the site for Friday prayers and reopened it the following Sunday with new measures of control, including metal detectors and additional cameras, at the compound's entrances.
During Friday prayers in July 2017, thousands of Palestinians came out to pray in the streets outside of Lion's Gate, one of the entrances to the Old City. Tension raged after peaceful demonstrations were violently suppressed by Israeli forces, resulting in hundreds of injuries. Four Palestinians were shot dead in occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank, one of whom was shot by an Israeli settler.
State of Palestine: Gaza holds 'day of rage' against Israeli response to Al-Aqsa Mosque clashes
Palestinian protesters gathered in Gaza City, Friday, for a march across the city after Palestinian leaders called for a day of rage to protest against the new Israeli security measures following the clashes in and around the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

STORYLINE
Muslims in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza were preparing on Tuesday for the month-long fast of Ramadan.
Palestinians could be seen buying special groceries and festive sweets in the street markets of the West Bank, ready for the meals before and after each day of fasting.
During Ramadan, Muslims don't eat or drink during daylight hours.
In Gaza City, one shopper complained that the prices of the goods are too high.
People do not have money, he said, because a large proportion of the Palestinian people are unemployed and waiting for aid in Ramadan.
An Israeli-imposed blockade of the area was only lifted a few weeks ago.
Israel imposed the blockade after Hamas took control of the coastal territory three years ago.
It said the step was needed to prevent Hamas militants from bringing weapons into the area.
Under heavy international pressure, Israel eased the blockade after its troops clashed with activists aboard a flotilla trying to breach the Strip in May, killing nine.
However, Gaza residents complain that while they will be able to break their fast with treats now the blockade has been eased, no significant change is being felt.
The blockade brought Gaza's economy to a virtual standstill.
In Jerusalem, local residents were worried that Israeli restrictions during Ramadan will not allow Palestinians to travel from the West Bank to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City of Jerusalem, one of the holiest sites for Muslims.
An Israeli army spokesman said that a closure of the West Bank will not be imposed and that the restrictions on accessing Al-Aqsa Mosque are due to security considerations.
Access is limited to men over 50 and women over 45.
Muslims follow the lunar calendar, which is some 11 days shorter than the solar year, meaning the start date of Ramadan changes every year.
It also varies according to geography.
Ramadan is expected to start on Wednesday or Thursday in the Palestinian territories and Jerusalem, with the rising of the new crescent moon.

The Israeli–Palestinian conflict (Arabic: النزاع الفلسطيني - الإسرائيلي al-Niza'a al'Filastini al 'Israili; Hebrew: הסכסוך הישראלי-פלסטיני Ha'Sikhsukh Ha'Yisraeli-Falestini) is the ongoing struggle between Israelis and Palestinians that began in the mid-20th century. The conflict is wide-ranging, and the term is sometimes also used in reference to the earlier sectarian conflict in Mandatory Palestine, between the Zionist yishuv and the Arab population under British rule. The Israeli–Palestinian conflict has formed the core part of the wider Arab–Israeli conflict. It has widely been referred to as the world's most intractable conflict. Despite a long-term peace process and the general reconciliation of Israel with Egypt and Jordan, Israelis and Palestinians have failed to reach a final peace agreement. The remaining key issues are: mutual recognition, borders, security, water rights, control of Jerusalem, Israeli settlements, Palestinian freedom of movement, and resolving Palestinian claims of a right of return for their refugees. The violence of the conflict, in a region rich in sites of historic, cultural and religious interest worldwide, has been the object of numerous international conferences dealing with historic rights, security issues and human rights, and has been a factor hampering tourism in and general access to areas that are hotly contested.

GAZA STRIP: MAHMOUD ZAHAR RELEASED FROM PRISON IN GAZA
English/Nat
Palestinian police on Sunday released a senior Hamas leader after he was held in a Gaza prison for over three months.
Mahmoud Zahar was jailed with other members of the militant Moslem movement following a series of deadly attacks on Israelis that were claimed by Hamas.
Zahar's release is seen as the start of a new era of improved relations between the Palestinian self-ruling authority and opposing factions, including Hamas.
Mosque preacher Mahmoud Zahar returned to his home in Gaza City escorted by Palestinian police.
After spending over three months in jail there was a warm welcome awaiting him from friends and loved ones.
PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat ordered Zahar's release Sunday as a gesture of reconciliation with the militant Islamic group.
Zahar said he had been treated well by his captors.
SOUNDBITE:
The treatment of our police there was very kind, particularly after the first 24 hours. They treated us as friends and we hope that all the Palestinian prisons be closed in front of the Palestinian people regardless of their attitude and this should be only for the collaborators and for the criminals.
SUPER CAPTION: Mahmoud Zahar - Released Hamas prisoner
Zahar had been in jail since Arafat's Palestinian Authority
cracked down on Hamas in June after a suicide bombing near an Israeli settlement.
The release comes amid reports that Hamas is prepared to renounce
violence and become a political party in time for the forthcoming Palestinian elections.
Hamas opposes the Israel-PLO peace process and seeks the
establishment of a Muslim state. It has claimed responsibility for a
series of attacks that have killed dozens of Israelis in the past
two years.

Analyzing the Latest Round of Gaza and West Bank Violence
STRICTLY SECURITY | Tensions seem to be rising between the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank and Israel. Where could this situation be headed and what might the consequences be for all parties? Former IDF COGAT unit member Eitan Dagnot analyzes.
Story:
Amid clashes with between Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on Friday, the Gaza-based Palestinian Health Ministry reported that 14-year-old Yussef al-Daya died in the hospital despite doctors' efforts to revive him after he was shot in the chest by Israeli troops.
Around 41 more people were said injured in clashes with troops during the violent demonstrations, the ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said.
Some 8,000 Palestinians in the Gaza gathered along the border with Israel on Friday after local organizers urged residents to demonstrate in the weekly border protests in honor of the dozens of Palestinians killed in the Cave of the Patriarchs massacre ahead of the 25th-year anniversary of the deadly attack.
Some demonstrators threw improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and rocks at soldiers while tires were burned to obscure the Gazan side from view of Israeli forces stationed across the fence.Local media reported a number of attempts by Gazans to damage the border fence using fire bombs and cross into Israeli territory.
Israeli forces 'responded with anti-riot means and shot according to the operational procedures,' they said.
Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank alike were urged to launch protests against Israel ahead of the Monday anniversary of the Hebron terror attack that in 1994 inflamed the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and set off a wave of deadly clashes, threatening the sensitive peace process that was underway.
The February 25th attack wrought turmoil in the flashpoint city of Hebron after an ultra-Orthodox IDF reservist opened fire on worshipers during Ramadan prayers, killing at least 30 and injuring over 100.
Palestinians in the West Bank were also urged to protest on Friday, with Palestinian media reporting that 'Hamas operatives' had instructed residents on Friday to demonstrate at the Cave of the Patriarchs compound.
Since March 30 of last year, Gaza, residents have been demonstrating weekly along the border with Israel, with this Friday marking the 47th iteration.
Often espousing particular rallying cries for a given week, organizers this week called for the people in Gaza to actively participate in protest camps to stand in solidarity and 'loyalty to the Martyrs of the Ibrahimi Mosque'.
The organizers called on citizens to attend the marches in the eastern Gaza Strip, but urged protesters to contribute to peaceful demonstrations.
The demonstrations, in which protesters have demanded the lifting of Israel's blockade on the Gaza Strip and the right to return to what they say are their ancestral homes in Israel, have often turned violent with Palestinians hurling rocks and explosive devices, attempting to infiltrate the border, and occasionally planting explosive devices or shooting towards Israeli forces.
In addition, the launching of airborne devices such as kites and balloons affixed with flammable liquids or explosives has damages thousands of dunams of land in Israel's south.
Although Hamas and Israel agreed on a ceasefire in November after months of violent clashes with the Israeli military, Palestinians continue to protest every week along the Gaza border.
At least 251 Palestinians have been killed in clashes with the Israeli army since March 30 last year. Most of the Palestinian casualties resulted from Israeli fire during the weekly border clashes, while some occurred during Israeli strikes in the territory.
At least 50 of the casualties have been identified as members of Hamas, which Israel (and the US) consider a terrorist organization.
During the same period, two Israeli soldiers were killed in the context of Gaza hostilities while another 52 suffered injuries.
One Israeli soldier was killed by a Palestinian sniper during border demonstrations while another died in a botched special forces operation inside the blockaded enclave.

Palestinians counted about 20 attacks in the first hours of Sunday.
Israel launched Operation Cast Lead on Saturday and threatened that the operation would widen if necessary.
More than 225 people were killed the air raids and about 700 injured as missiles hammered the Gaza Strip.
