Seafarers Getaway Apollo Bay | Where to Stay on the Great Ocean Road
Seafarers Getaway is 4 star, 20 roomed hotel in Apollo Bay on the beautiful Great Ocean Road in Victoria. If you are looking for some good accommodation on the Great Ocean Road, Seafarers Getaway offers some upmarket stylish rooms with amazing view of the ocean. I stayed in one of their studio rooms which come complete with kitchen (mini bar, microwave, cooktop, cooking utensils, sink and coffee/tea making facilities), cable TV, free Wi-Fi and modern bathroom. There are huge glass sliding doors giving perfect views of the ocean.
The hotel is only a 5 minute or so drive away from Apollo Bay town, where you can find ATMs, shops, supermarket, restaurants and cafes.
For best room rates at Seafarers Getaway Resort, take a look at sites such as Trivago, Hotelscombined, Tripadvisor or even Seafarers Getaway Website (shown in video). For the time I stayed I found the rates basically the same on most booking sites. I had points with Agoda, so I used them.
For me Seafarers is a great resort in Apollo Bay if you are looking for something upmarket. It would make for a great weekend getaway from Melbourne as well as romantic getaway. It was so relaxing to walk down to the beach and feel the ocean breezes. This is my review of the resort.
The Great Ocean Road is one of Australia’s most spectacular drives. With fantastic ocean views, making it one of Australia’s top tourist attractions. One of the must things to do in Victoria. There are plenty of places to visit including the famous Twelve Apostles, Cape Otway Lighthouse (where I saw a wild koala by the side of the road), Loch Ard Gorge and just some beautiful look outs along the road. In October 2014 we stayed at Apollo Bay Guesthous in Apollo Bay. The room was great, the view on the ocean stunning and staff extremely friendly. Only drawback was the price of the room. Overall rating 9 / 10.
