Great Plains Dinosaur Museum and Field Station | Montana Dinosaur Trail
Located in the heart of dinosaur country, the museum features many fossils, including those of plants, invertebrates, fish, turtles, crocodiles, and a variety of Jurassic and Cretaceous dinosaur species. Among the dinosaur fossils are Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Camarasaurus, a horned dinosaur called Maltaceratops, a new and as yet un-named species of raptor dinosaur, and several remarkably preserved hadrosaurs (the duck-billed dinosaurs) – including juvenile and adult specimen.
Cary Woodruff is the Director of Paleontology at the Great Plains Dinosaur Museum. Cary grew up in rural central Virginia, and received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Earth Sciences with an emphasis in Paleontology at Montana State University under famed dinosaur paleontologist Dr. Jack Horner. Currently, during the off season, Cary is pursuing his Ph.D. at the University of Toronto under Dr. David Evans.
Learn more about the Great Plains Dinosaur Museum along the Montana Dinosaur Trail:
Montana is rich in paleontological history and has produced some of the most important dinosaur finds. The Montana Dinosaur Trail is a consortium of 14 museums across the state of Montana. Each facility features dinosaur related displays and many of the museums and their staff are actively adding to paleontology research.

Carnegie Museum Dinosaur Exhibit - Oakland, Pennsylvania
Carnegie Museum's Dinosaur exhibition is the best rated attraction among the top five natural history museums in the United States. Dinosaurs in Their Time features scientifically accurate, immersive environment filled with actively posed original fossil specimens. This Museum gained lot of attention after the excavation of the fossils of Diplodocus carnegii in 1899. After two year of renovation (2005 - 2007) the exhibition illustrates the world's largest collection of Jurassic dinosaurs and specimens of the world's only fossils of a juvenile Apatosaurus, the specimen of a Tyrannosaurus rex etc. Families with kids should never miss the Bonehunters Quarry and Discovery Basecamp.
