Great Yarmouth - British Seaside VIDEO TOUR (Norfolk, UK)
So it was our first time visiting Great Yarmouth, finally! We had never made it past Cromer on the Norfolk hump! It reminds me of Blackpool, but with less fights and less drunken people, just! Hundreds of arcades!!! We almost didn't make them all! lol! We started in the town as that is where we found the free parking! It was a nice walk to the seafront from there.

Great Yarmouth, often known as Yarmouth, is a seaside town in Norfolk, England, straddling the mouth of the River Yare, some 20 miles (30 km) east of Norwich. A population of 38,693 in the 2011 Census made it the third most populous place in Norfolk. It has been a seaside resort since 1760 and provides a gateway from the Norfolk Broads to the North Sea. Its longstanding fishing industry, mainly for herring, declined steeply after the mid-20th century and has all but vanished. North Sea oil from the 1960s led to a brisk oil-rig supply industry that now services offshore natural gas rigs. More recent offshore wind power and other renewable energy create further support services. As a tourist centre, Yarmouth became prominent when a railway built in 1844 gave visitors easier, cheaper access and triggered an influx of settlers. Wellington Pier opened in 1854 and Britannia Pier in 1858. Through the 20th century Yarmouth was a booming resort, with a promenade, fortune-tellers, pubs, trams, donkey rides, fish-and-chip shops and theatres. Other attractions include the Pleasure Beach, the Sea Life Centre, the Hippodrome Circus and the Time and Tide Museum, and the one surviving Victorian seaside Winter Garden in cast iron and glass.

Great Yarmouth, often known to locals as Yarmouth, is a coastal town in Norfolk, England. Great Yarmouth is located at the mouth of the River Yare, 20 miles east of Norwich. Great Yarmouth has been a seaside resort since 1760, and is the gateway from the Norfolk Broads to the North Sea. For hundreds of years Great Yarmouth was a major fishing port, depending mainly on the herring fishery, but Great Yarmouth fishing industry suffered a steep decline in the second half of the 20th century, and has now all but disappeared.
The discovery of oil in the North Sea in the 1960s led to a flourishing oil rig supply industry, and today Great Yarmouth services offshore natural gas rigs. More recently, the development of renewable energy sources, especially offshore wind power, has created further opportunities for support services. A wind farm of 30 generators is within sight of the town on the Scroby Sands. Great Yarmouth has a beach and two piers.
Great Yarmouth is on a 3.1-mile (5.0 km) spit sandwiched between the North Sea and River Yare. Great Yarmouth well-known features include the historic rows (narrow streets) and the main tourist sector on the seafront. The area is linked to Gorleston, Cobholm and Southtown by Haven Bridge and to the A47 and A149 by the Breydon Bridge.
Great Yarmouth is connected to Norwich by the Wherry Lines from Great Yarmouth railway station, it is served by an hourly service provided by Abellio Greater Anglia via Acle or, less frequently, via Reedham. The bus station in Great Yarmouth is the major hub for local routes and is located under Market Gates Shopping Centre. The River Yare cuts off Great Yarmouth from other areas of the borough such as Gorleston and Southtown and so the town's two bridges have become major transport links.

Caister-on-Sea, also known colloquially as Caister, is a small town in Norfolk in England, United Kingdom, close to the large town of Great Yarmouth. It is a seaside resort and busy holiday destination on the Golden Mile, with its main attraction being its sandy Georgian Beach. It is home to Great Yarmouth race course. At the 2001 census it had a population of 8,756 and 3,970 households, the population increasing to 8,901 at the 2011 Census. It used to be served by Caister-on-Sea railway station. There was also a Caister Camp Halt, opened in 1933 to serve the holiday camp mentioned below. However, both were closed in 1959, after which Great Yarmouth railway station, 4 km (2.5 mi) to the south, became the nearest station. The wind farm at Scroby Sands has thirty 2–megawatt wind turbines, 2.5 km (1.6 mi) off shore.

Disko Off-Ride HD Pleasure Beach Great Yarmouth UK
This ride is located at the Pleasure Beach, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England, UK.
Disko was opened in the Pleasure Beach in 2004, just like the Skydrop. It was designed and manfactured by Zamperla. Up to 24 people can ride at a time, with the whole ride lasting about two minutes. You are held in place by wearing a seat belt, and just before the ride starts a pad of some sort rises and pushes your back, making you lean forward and holding you in securely.
REVIEW: This ride is fun, and gives you a rather odd, unique sensation. This is mainly because you sit facing the outside. The feeling is very strange, especially when you are at the full height and feel like you're gonna go over the edge.
Seating Comfort: Low
Stomach Feeling: Low/Medium
Intensity: Medium
OVERALL RATING: 7/10

Great Yarmouth - Our British Seaside Holidays are Fading Away?
When I was a kid, Great Yarmouth was one of those real fun seaside places to visit for a holiday. I spent a lot of time fishing on the River Bure which isn't too far away and for seaside fun, Great Yarmouth was the place.
When I was older, I even played in a few shows on the pier!!
These days, it seems relatively empty with way fewer tourists or holidaymakers. This was half term and I was very surprised at the low numbers.
The lure of sunshine abroad and cheaper flights has really impacted on the place.
All shot on a GoPro 7 with a Primo 184 lavalier which has a cardioid pattern to try and cut out surrounding noise.
