Cape York Australia, a large tract of largely unpopulated land, is in the far north of Queensland. It includes ‘The Tip’, an iconic landmark which is Australia’s most northerly point. This is our story:
We experienced Cape York's unique wildlife and flora close up
Walked through abandoned gold mines
Saw the shattered dreams of early explorers.
Stayed at historic places
Witnessed the hidden history of it's importance in WWII.
Camped at a remote beach overlooking the Arafura Sea.
Used ferries to see the Torres Strait and visit Thursday and Horn islands.
Stood at the Tip of Australia
We travelled overland in an Oz Tours Safaris 4X4 truck.
Then flew back to Cairns from a remote airstrip.
This is our photographic journey over 10 days with an emphasis on nature. It starts at the Daintree River.....

Jezzine Barracks Parkland Precinct, Townsville, Australia
The 15-hectare heritage precinct commemorates the military and Aboriginal heritage of the Kissing Point headland through 32 specially commissioned public artworks, extensive interpretive signage and the restoration of significant elements of the Kissing Point Fort complex. 62005 Lord of The Isles The Jacobite Fort William Mallaig Thursday 13th June 2013
Here we are my final 3 part Scotland video is finally here.
Coming up in this program we ride behind K1 62005 Lord of The Isles from Fort William to Mallaig in perfect weather conditions we pass the Fort William loco yard were the locos and coaches stable overnight as we pass the yard we see Ian Riley's black 5 44871 as he is being prepared for the afternoon service on the same route.
We continue along the line with beautiful country side and running alongside the Loch.
The highlight of the run was going over Glefinnan viaduct as the sun came out at the perfect moment.
Of course as some of you may know the viaduct and the line was made famous for not only Warner Brother's Harry Potter films but also BBC's Michael Portillo's Great British Railway Journeys.
We carry on our Journey to Malliag in perfect weather and brilliant views before arriving at our destination.

Rottnest Island in Perth Proves Flat Earth

This is Brookfield Place in Perth City or BHP Tower is its common name
The very top of the building is 246.9m above sea level
The distance to the roof is 211.6m
From a distance the very top of the building and its roof are easy to spot
The observation you are about to see is from the Perth Hills to Rottnest Island
And we will use this building as a reference point
The total distance from my spot in the hills to the Wadjemup Lighthouse is 52km
So if we live on a flat plane approximately 3 lighthouses should fit up to the 240m line
My exact height is 237m + 1.5m tripod which equals 238.5m
However if we do live on a spinning globe then 5.65 lighthouses should fit up to the 240m live
I found 2 spots where I can see Rottnest from
This is the first at 238.5m elevation getting a really good look at the lighthouse
By using the Brookfield Place building as a guide we see approx 3 and a bit lighthouses will fit up to the line
But we should see 5.65 lighthouses
So the green line represents where the lighhouse should be if we lived on a globe and there was 221m of drop
You can see there is a big difference between where the lighthouse is on the white line compared to where it should be on a globe which is the green line
Tomorrow morning I am going to film again this time even earlier to try and get even better footage from this spot
Oh and where is the horizon - clearly behind Rottnest Island
On a globe the horizon should finish half into the island.
I will get you clearer footage to show you this in the next video.

Stanley, The Ship Inn & We Walk The 'Nut' | Tasmania Part 1 'On The Road' Travel Series ????
The town of Stanley is a historic coastal town on Tasmania’s North-West coast and home to a very modest but very friendly population of less than 500 hundred people. Its slim population does not affect the strength of its community, with a quiet energy bubbling away underneath its sleepy surface. Driving into Stanley you can’t help but notice the huge rock, technically a volcanic plug. Commonly referred to as ‘the Nut’, shortened from the Aboriginal name Moo-Nut-Re-Ker. A short but very steep walking track to the summit of the Nut allows you incredible views across the town and Bass Strait. However we visited Stanley for something situated at the base of the Nut, Stanley’s Ship Inn. A unique storytelling guest house that shares the stories of Stanley and my oh my are there stories to tell!

Webb produced a fact witness, a Marine named Andre Taggart, and Taggart confirmed the government marked blackberries and drives stashed by Awan in his home. Webb also interviewed a Capitol Hill staffer with a three decade relationship with Joe Biden that provided insider information about Imran Awan that was later confirmed in a House hearing. The House insider also left the phone with Webb which had Congressional markings, and the blackberry mapped to a DIA staffer on Capitol Hill in the Human Intelligence Services.

Teen dies after fight outside middle school
A 13-year old girl from Attucks Middle School ended up on life support at Texas Children's Hospital two days after a fight off campus.
Kashala Francis' mother, Mamie Jackson, says her daughter told her she was attacked by two girls after school on Thursday, and that another girl later jumped in and kicked her in the head.
Jackson says when her daughter returned home Thursday afternoon, she had a bruise on her face, but insisted she was okay.
