ABC was always in our to do list. This year being our 10th year together, we decided to capture the moments in the Himalayas. Have done plenty of treks before but this has been the best experience with highs and lows with memories to last a lifetime. The moment we started the hike we were mesmerized by the natural beauty of Nepal. It got better as we climbed higher and the urge to explore Nepal has become stronger. Nepal is truly blessed and beautiful.
Day 1 - PKR to Siwai on Jeep/Car, Trek from Siwai to Chomrong
Day 2 - Chomrong to Himalaya (Acclimatization)
Day 3 - Himalaya to ABC
Day 4 - ABC to Chomrong (Early start as it will be a long day)
Day 5 - Chomrong to Jhindu Hot Springs then Siwai to catch bus to PKR (that last bus leaves around 1530 hrs)
It's best to stay at MBC one day for aclimatization, if you don't feel well (altitude sickness). The most important thing is to hydrate yourself really well during your trek.

Kangchenjunga Base Camps Trek 2010
A trek in Nepal to visit the north and south base camps of Kangchenjunga.
I decided to make a video of this old trip (16th October - 12th November 2010) to the worlds third highest mountain to go with the videos of Everest and K2.
This is from before when I started taking video. Since still photos have no ambient sound, I’ve added some royalty free music. If it is not to your taste, you can mute your sound and play the film as a silent movie and you’ll be no worse off than if I’d left it silent. I've also experimented with adding in more commentary than before about what happened along the way.

Trekking in Nepal - SIKLES Kahphuche Lake - Episode Two: Sikles
When we started this trip, Sikles wasn't in our primary focus. But from the day we got to Sikles, and our 3 days stay there, we were mesmerized by this beautiful Gurung village and people.
There were a lot of things we did in Sikles, and felt that it needs a separate video of its own. So, here it is, our take on Sikles Village.
A perfect and easy destination for anyone looking for a quick and comfy break from the chaotic daytoday life, just beneath the Annapurna Mountains.
We are very grateful to Samsung (Galaxy s10) for sponsoring this trip and everyone who supported us in this amazing journey.
If you plan to visit Sikles and Kahpuche, these contacts will be helpful.

Lumba Sumba Pass Trek, Nepal, Kanchenjunga [full trek]
This film features the full three week Lumba Sumba pass trek, in the Kanchenjunga region of Nepal. It is in a little-known undiscovered trekking region - off the beaten track in the remote and isolated Eastern Himalaya. More info at
Episodes (slightly longer versions) are also on my channel.
The trail traverses the mountains between the third and fifth highest in the world - Kanchenjunga and Makalu. It passes through rarely visited Sherpa and Limbu villages, rugged valleys and up to the spectacular Lumba Sumba pass itself.
The Lumba Sumba was only opened to foreign trekkers in 2012. But even now (2018), very few outside visitors go there. Although there are teahouses in many villages, up towards the pass the trek requires at least three or four nights of camping. Many people camp for the whole trek, but mixing it up with a combination of simple lodges and camping worked for us. Once we had left the Kanchenjunga trail, we didn’t see a single other foreign trekker for about two weeks. We were late in the season (November), but I expect if you visit at any time trekker numbers will be low.
Online, I met Andrew from England, then Prakash (guide) and Sundesh (porter) from Nepal. We were a small group of four trekkers.

Nepal (Nepali: नेपाल [neˈpaːl] (help·info)), officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, is a landlocked country in South Asia and the world's youngest republic. It is bordered to the north by the People's Republic of China, and to the south, east, and west by the Republic of India. With an area of 147,181 square kilometres (56,827 sq mi) and a population of approximately 30 million, Nepal is the world's 93rd largest country by land mass[5] and the 41st most populous country. Kathmandu is the nation's capital and the country's largest metropolitan city.
Nepal is a country of highly diverse and rich geography, culture, and religions. The mountainous north has eight of the world's ten highest mountains, including the highest, Mount Everest. The fertile and humid south is heavily urbanized. By some measures, Hinduism is practiced by a greater majority of people in Nepal than in any other nation.[6] Buddhism, though a minority faith in the country, is linked historically with Nepal as the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, who as the Buddha Gautama gave birth to the Buddhist tradition. About half of the population live below the international poverty line of US$1.25 a day.[7]
A monarchy throughout most of its history, Nepal was ruled by the Shah dynasty of kings from 1768, when Prithvi Narayan Shah unified its many small kingdoms. However, a decade-long People's Revolution by the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) along with several weeks of mass protests by all major political parties of Nepal in 2006, culminated in a peace accord and the ensuing elections for the constituent assembly voted overwhelmingly in favor of the abdication of the last Nepali monarch Gyanendra Shah and the establishment of a federal democratic republic in May 28, 2008.[8] The first President of Nepal, Ram Baran Yadav, was sworn in on 23 July 2008.
A typical Nepalese meal is dal-bhat-tarkari. Dal is a spicy lentil soup, served over bhat (boiled rice), served with tarkari (curried vegetables) together with achar (pickles) or chutni (spicy condiment made from fresh ingredients).. The Newar community, however, has its own unique cuisine. It consists of non-vegetarian as well as vegetarian items served with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Mustard oil is the cooking medium and a host of spices, such as cumin, coriander, black peppers, sesame seeds, turmeric, garlic, ginger, methi (fenugreek), bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon, pepper, chillies, mustard seeds, etc., are used in the cooking. The cuisine served on festivals is generally the best.
The Newar dances can be broadly classified into masked dances and non-masked dances. The most representative of Newari dances is Lakhey dance. Almost all the settlements of Newaris organise Lakhey dance at least once a year, mostly in the Goonlaa month. So, they are called Goonlaa Lakhey. However, the most famous Lakhey dance is the Majipa Lakhey dance; it is performed by the Ranjitkars of Kathmandu and the celeberation continues for the entire week that contains the full moon of Yenlaa month. The Lakhey are considered to be the saviors of children.
Folklore is an integral part of Nepalese society. Traditional stories are rooted in the reality of day-to-day life, tales of love, affection and battles as well as demons and ghosts and thus reflect local lifestyles, cultures and beliefs. Many Nepalese folktales are enacted through the medium of dance and music.
The Nepali year begins in mid-April and is divided into 12 months. Saturday is the official weekly holiday. Main annual holidays include the National Day, celebrated on the birthday of the king (December 28), Prithvi Jayanti (January 11), Martyr's Day (February 18), and a mix of Hindu and Buddhist festivals such as dashain in autumn, and tihar in late autumn. During tihar, the Newar community also celebrates its New Year as per their local calendar Nepal Sambat.
Most houses in rural lowland of Nepal are made up of a tight bamboo framework and walls of a mud and cow-dung mix. These dwellings remain cool in summer and retain warmth in winter. Houses in the hills are usually made of unbaked bricks with thatch or tile roofing. At high elevations construction changes to stone masonry and slate may be used on roofs.

Help the Adventure Girls in Nepal
Hi,
We are Inka Gurung Trollsås from Sweden and Alice Bomboy from France.
We're launching this campaign to raise money for our dear Nepali friends badly impacted by the deadly earthquake which hit their country on April 25th.
The money will be given to the Himalayan Adventure Girls, a NGO launched a couple of years ago by Nepali girls Anu, Sita, Radha, Kamala and others. The NGO is dedicated to encourage Nepali women to participate in the outdoor industry as rafting and kayaking guides and instructors.
Your donations will be used to help people around them in Kathmandu in acute need of food and water. It will also help rebuilding houses for them, for people linked to the NGO and for the Nepali canoeing and rafting community whose they belong to.
Who are they ?
Our friends are all Nepali, living in Nepal. Most of them were in Kathmandu or Pokhara when the quake happened. Luckily enough they were safe. But Kamala, a young NGO's member whose family lives in a remote village, has lost her grandpa, her grandma and her uncle. She's still alive only because she was outside at the moment of the quake. Her house collapsed, killing her relatives. All her family belongings disappeared into debris by a minute. Anu, one of the NGO leader, lost her house and everything she owns as well. Same for Radha, whose family house in the Bothe Koshi Valley has been completely destroyed. Inka, who taugh the girls swimming and kayaking a few years ago, has her Nepali family members reporting damaged houses. Every day, we receive news from girls who got canoe training through Himalayan Adventure Girls, from the white water nepali community and from relatives, telling us they lost everything.
What do they need ?
With this campaign, we hope to raise money which will be sent to Himalayan Adventure Girls quickly. Right now the girls, their relatives, friends, neighbors need everything : clothing, food, bedding, shelter, medicines... The conditions in Kathmandu and in whole Nepal is worsening. People face choice between sleeping indoors and risking aftershocks or getting wet and cold by staying outside round the clock, unless they don't have a house any more of course...
Aside from an emergency assistance, a long-term help is much needed. The money will be used to rebuild houses for the girls now involved with the Himalayan Adventure Girls. With your donations, the NGO will also help rebuild houses for our others friends from the white water Nepali community and relatives affected by the quake.
Why give to this NGO ?
We are totally confident in Anu, Sita, Kamala, Radha and the others girls from the Himalayan Adventure Girls NGO : we know they will handle the donations well and help others in a good way.
We are so proud of their achievements so far : when they met Inka a few years ago, they learned swimming and then kayaking with her. Soon the girls founded the nonprofit organisation Himalayan Adventure Nepalese Girls to empower Nepali women through sport. Their work and commitment is so important for women in Nepal. A few days before the quake, they organized themselves a canoeing camp with a big group of children from an orphanage in Nepal.
It must absolutely continue and thanks to your help, it could be possible.
If you want to know more about them, here's their Facebook page :
Please offer our friends your help, talk about them around you and share !
Thanks to all the people caring for them !

Odyssey Himalaya Expedition
The ultimate trek in the ultimate range!
This Himalayan Odyssey was undertaken by a group of teens from British Columbia, Canada.
The trip takes them to Calcutta, where they explore the chaos and beauty of an Indian city. Then, they board a night train for Darjeeling and head north.
Once acclimatized in the chilly mountain air, the group set off into the Himalayan kingdom of Sikkim, where they begin a week of homestays in a remote village. The locals (ethnically Lepcha and Bhutia) are subsistence farmers and follow a fairly unique form of Tibetan Buddhism.
To finish the trip, the group leaves the village and heads north into the mountains. They spend a week trekking up through forest onto the alpine plateau, where they meet Mt. Kanchenjunga, fourth highest mountain the world.
This is a story of adventure and awakening; a glimpse of teen spirit at its finest and the awesome potential of youth to overcome...

Manaslu
Manaslu is the eighth highest mountain in the world at 8,163 metres above sea level. It is located in the Mansiri Himal, part of the Nepalese Himalayas, in the west-central part of Nepal. Its name, which means mountain of the spirit, comes from the Sanskrit word manasa, meaning intellect or soul. Manaslu was first climbed on May 9, 1956 by Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu, members of a Japanese expedition. It is said that just as the British consider Everest their mountain, Manaslu has always been a Japanese mountain.
Manaslu at 8,156 metres above mean sea level is the highest peak in the Lamjung District and is located about forty miles east of Annapurna. The mountain's long ridges and valley glaciers offer feasible approaches from all directions, and culminate in a peak that towers steeply above its surrounding landscape, and is a dominant feature when viewed from afar.

■ ■ The Story
With ten porters, two guides and a cook, the team of three: George, Alexa and Blanchet starts their epic trek from Yuksam in West Sikkim.
The team head north to Goecha La Pass to see early morning views of Mount Khangchenjunga and, then head west to the border of Nepal or the Singalila Ridge.
From there they head south along the Singali La ridge to see Mount Everest and Mount Khangchenjunga.
On the 13th day, the team reach a remote village at the border of India and Nepal, inhibited by a nomadic yak herder. The film was shot using camera powered by custom made solar chargers, as there was no power facility during the entire trek.
George was affected by Keratoconus, a rare eye disorder which decreases the thickness of cornea and results in a distorted vision, during his childhood. During his teenage years, he lost all his hopes about life as this took him away from what he wanted to do in his life and what he dreamed. George finds that traveling is one of the best medicines for his eyes and end up trekking in the Himalayas to find solace and tranquility.

Kailash Tour 2020, Holy place Kailash ,Kailash Mansarovar tour, Mount Kailash tour 2020, Kailash2020
A 6714 meters elevated mountain, Kailash is believed to be the exclusive abode of Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati. As Mecca to Muslim and Islam, so as Mount Kailash and Mansarovar to the follower of five different religion, The Hinduism, The Buddhism, The Jainism, The Bonpo and The Tibetan religion. Tibet as a home land to sacred Mount Kailash and Manasarovar is one of the most popular pilgrimage destinations. Devotees pour into this place for darshan (divine view) of the holy Mount Kailash from across the globe via Nepal. Circumnavigating the 53 km periphery of this mountain on foot is believed to be a path of attaining ultimate Salvation: “Mokshya” getting rid of all sins which we knowingly or unknowingly committed ever in our life time.
There are many religious mythologies associated with this Snow capped Black Mountain. According to Buddhist, Lord Buddha meditated in this peaceful area and obtained Salvation. If one visits this place with right intention and peaceful mind he/she will be blessed forever. That’s why despite of offensive altitude sickness, high temperature and difficult trail devotes aspire to visit this place at least once in their life time. The exquisite environment, fabulous Monasteries like, Zuthul Puk, Gyangdrag Chhu, and stunning view of the world’s highest mountains effaces all the miseries of life leaving one in a complete bliss.
Mansarovar Lake: Derived from the Sanskrit language the word “manas” means mind or consciousness an instrument to enlightenment and “sarovar” means Lake. Conclusively, Mansarovar means the Lake of one’s spirit. Mt. Kailash lies beside the most sacred Hindus Lake of Mansarovar (4580m). It has a deep spiritual influence and an age long religious significance for both the Hindus and the Buddhists. According to the legends, one can purge oneself from all the sins of life by making one to three rotations of the Lake. In order to attain “moksha” the ultimate salvation in life, one has to reach at least the vicinity of the Kailash and Mansarovar. As the Mecca is to the Muslims and the Islam so are the Kailash and Mansarovar to the Hindus. According to the Holy Scriptures, even a single dip into the Lake of Mansarovar can free you from the chain of this mortal life and secure your place in heaven. This Lake is so gigantic that it takes three full days to just go through its circumference. The eternal simmering ripples of the Lakes enthrall the visitors with an indelible memory for life.
