From Farm to Plate, Part 2: The Butchers
For the second of our films, we head over to Greendale Farm Shop to meet Richard, one of our Master Butchers.
Our series of three films, titled ‘From Farm to Plate’, was created to tell the story of Greendale beef. The first film focuses on the Greendale beef herd as it grazes above the Jurassic coast; the second film pays a visit to the double award-winning butchers at Greendale Farm Shop; and the final film ends at The Salutation Inn in Topsham, where Chef Tom Williams-Hawkes prepares a special beef dish.
These films are part of our campaign to promote the very best of local food and drink; we want our customers to understand the benefits of buying local, particularly traceability, high quality and low food-mileage. The films are intended as a sort of ‘window’ into the Greendale supply chain, showing customers exactly where their fresh fish and meat have come from.
From Farm to Plate: Part 1 The Cattle
Greendale Farm Shop's 'From Farm to Plate’ film series tells the story of Greendale beef. Starting with the cattle grazing above the Jurassic coast, it moves on to visit the double award-winning butchers at Greendale Farm Shop, and ends with Chef Tom Williams-Hawkes cooking a finished beef dish at the Salutation Inn.
These films are part of Greendale's campaign to promote the very best of local food and drink; we want our customers to understand the benefits of buying local, particularly traceability, high quality and low food-mileage. The first film, Part 1, features Sam, our Farm Manager, as he checks the Greendale herd.
From Boat to Plate - The Restaurant
The last in our trilogy of films tracing the journey of Greendale crab and lobster from sea to chef. Having chosen his crab and lobster from the tanks at the Farm Shop, Michael Caines returns to his kitchen at Lympstone Manor to work his magic. Michael has devised two recipes for his Greendale crab and lobster; Fricassée of Lobster with Spring Vegetables, and Tortellini with Greendale Crab with Lemongrass and Ginger Bisque.
Devon Vlog Day 3 & 4
Hello everyone & welcome to another travel vlog! This is day 3 & 4 of our time in Torquay in Devon.
We stayed here from Sunday to Thursday. Day 3 includes that Perry has organised a surprise for me which involves animals (of course) which you will find out. We drove to Jacob's Ladder Beach in Sidmouth where we went for a little strole and something to eat. Then Perry reveals that my surprise trip was going Alpaca Trekking at Bearhouse Alpacas which was an amazing experience. On our journey home we went too Greendale Farm Shop in Sidmouth where we had some dinner & walked around the little farm & Perry got chased by chickens! Once finished we watched the World Cup then called it a night. Day 4 was a wet one. We went to Paignton Beach & went into the amusements on the pier where we won a minion & played 2p machines. Then traveled too Berry Pomeroy Castle which is part of British Heritage to explore & have some lunch. I didn't film any of the rest of the day. But the next morning was sadly our day to travel home.

The Farmer Labelled as a Psychopath by Vegan Activists | This Morning
Subscribe now for more!
Farmer Mat Carter has started offering his customers the chance to choose, name and even help look after their Christmas turkey before it's slaughtered. However, ‘militant’ vegans have since vandalised the farm and even sent Mat and his butchers death threats. Mat Carter joins us from his turkey farm in Exeter. We’ll also be joined by ‘Made In Chelsea’ star, Lucy Watson who believes we should all be going meat-free this Christmas.
