Beijing Botanical Garden(北京植物园)
Beijing Botanical Garden is located between the Fragrant Hills Park (also called Xiangshan Park) and Jade Spring Hill (known as Yuquan Hill) in Haidian District. It is 15 miles (24 kilometers) far from downtown. In 1956, the project with a planned coverage of 4,000,000 square meters or nearly 1,000 acres was begun. Now, Beijing Botanical Garden has an open area of 500 acres (2,000,000 square meters). It consists of the Plant Exhibition Area, the Scenic Spot and the Historical Resorts, the Scientific Research Area and the Nature Reserve. 10,000 categories of plant with a population of 1.5 million plants are cultivated here, for which this one has been regarded as the biggest in north China so far.

STORYLINE:
The famous tulip gardens at Keukenhof in Holland unveiled a spectacular flower display Wednesday based on the 2008 Beijing Olympics and in celeberation of Chinese culture.
Visitors to the 32-hectare park near Lisse will now come face to face with a centrepiece display measuring 15 by ten metres of a Chinese dragon made out of 24-thousand 500 tulips.
Becky Chang a visiting tourist, told Associated Press Television how much she enjoyed the show.
Here we can find a chinese dragon and I welcome all chinese tourists to come here, she said.
Six million bulbs bloom every year in Keukenhof, one of the most popular attractions in the Netherlands.
This year, Willem-Alexander, the Prince of Orange and member of the International Olympic Committee opened the Keukenhof's 59th International show.
China is a very important country for exporting flower bulbs for Holland and probably as you know, we are not an attraction, we are more or less the show window of the flower bulbs industry in Holland, the garden's director Peter De-Vries told AP Television.
Park architect, Jaspar Van Der Zon, says each year new garden designs are carried out carefully and methodically.
