When one visits old-world destinations like Venice, Paris or Amsterdam, you become aware of the stark contrasts between the day-to-day hustle and the much, much longer and older timelines that birthed their character, their people’s cultures and unique personalities.
Talk about the City of Greenwood with any modern-day Canadian, and most will shrug with just one comment, “Where is that?”. When you visit Greenwood, something grabs your attention about British Columbia’s smallest city, a one-time candidate for the Provincial Capital, and the previous seat of the Provincial High Court. Everyone in the West knew about Greenwood in 1899.

The Elk Trail is a 16 mile linear trail in Elk State Forest, Elk County, PA. It is relatively flat with mostly open forest...we spotted two elk on the trail and several elk before and after, just off local roads. Benezette (the closest town) is infamous for being PA's Elk capital with a Visitor's Center nearby. The trail was hiked on July 25th, 2017 with hiking brothers John and Steve Snider.

Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum
Melissa Giller is a spokesperson for the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. In this interview, Giller speaks with Our Ventura TV host, George Alger, about the Reagan Library, which is a public museum and final resting place of Ronald Wilson Reagan, the 40th President of the United States.
Giller touches upon the permanent exhibits of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, as well as the exhibits which change every six or seven months.
Among the many exhibits, Giller discusses the Air Force One Pavilion. Air Force One refers to those Air Force aircraft specifically designed, built, and used for the purpose of transporting the president. The Air Force One Pavilion at the Reagan Library allows visitors to walk onboard the actual Air Force One aircraft, tail number 27000, which flew seven U.S. presidents, including President Reagan.
Another permanent exhibit is the full-size replica of the White House Oval Office, the office in which President Reagan never took off his suit jacket.
Giller emphasizes how facilitating children and student visits is an important aspect of the Reagan Library.
Construction of the library began in 1988, and the center was dedicated on November 4, 1991.
Giller also speaks about the system of Presidential Libraries administered by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). The Reagan Library, under the authority of the Presidential Records Act, is the repository of presidential records for President Reagan's administration. The Library’s holdings include over 60 million pages of documents, over 1.6 million photographs, a half million feet of motion picture film, tens of thousands of audio and video tape, and over 40,000 artifacts.
The Reagan Library is the largest of the 13 federally operated presidential libraries. (President Obama's library will bring the total to 14). The street address, 40 Presidential Drive, in Simi Valley, CA, is numbered in honor of Reagan's place as the 40th President.
