DAR LAZULI: Boutique Apartments in Essaouira, MOROCCO
Dar Lazuli's location on the Western coast of Morocco is second to none, tucked away in a quiet but central corner of Essaouira's ancient medina (A World Heritage Site) and minutes from its many restaurants, bustling souks and long sandy beach with world class conditions for surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing.
The Travizeo production team were lucky enough to to spend 9 amazing nights there shooting this online promotional video.
Rachid and Latifa look after you on your stay and you could not ask for better hosts! The accommodation is beautiful, well priced and perfectly situated to be able to explore all the souks, fish markets and 'kite surfing perfect' beaches.

Experience Morocco: The Imperial Cities
Morocco is a country made for explorers and adventurers, those seeking thrills and relaxation alike. If you’re planning a trip to Morocco soon and don’t know where to start, or if you’re looking for some inspiration for your next trip, allow TourRadar’s guide to Morocco’s Imperial Cities lead the way.
The Imperial Cities Fez, Marrakesh, Meknes, and Rabat, are Morocco’s four historical capitals. While the current capital is Rabat, each of these cities are an integral part of Morocco’s history, and each offers unique and incredible experiences. Many tours of the country include these cities, and, after you’ve watched this video, we’re sure you’ll be more than ready to explore them all!
An important part of Moroccan culture is in the country’s souks, or markets. These bustling areas are home to food, music, and more souvenirs than you could ever have room for. No trip to Morocco’s cities is complete without a visit (or two, or three…) to a souk. Check out the traditional trades, including leather tanning and carpet weaving, shown here.
If Morocco is next on your list, or even if you’re just dreaming of night markets and city exploration, we hope this video can give you a bit of a taste of what Morocco’s cities have to offer. If you simply can’t wait to explore these historic and gorgeous cities, you know what to do: it’s time to plan your trip to Morocco.

Morocco Trip - December 2015
A summary video of the adventure we researched and planned from scratch of our trip to Morocco (Tangier, Chefchaoen, Fez, Merzouga, Marrakech). This is the first time I've ever really used a GoPro and used any video editing software (definite learning curve), but we wanted to share our experience with others and hope to continue to do so on our future trips.
Morocco was an amazing trip that gave us so many unique experiences and awesome memories (Cave of Hercules, hiking to Cascades d'Akhour, wandering the medinas/kasbahs, riding camels into and camping in the Sahara, dune bashing with ATVs in the Sahara, streetfood and performances in Marrakech, and so much more). We met so many incredible people, saw incredible sights, and ate incredible food. We'd recommend Morocco to anyone and gladly share our travel information.

Experience Morocco: Aït Benhaddou
The Ksar of Aït Benhaddou is a well-known landmark in Morocco, and if you haven’t heard of this ighrem, you would have seen it at some point. Aït Benhaddou’s iconic towers feature in movies like Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator and Jewel of the Nile.
Morocco is filled with many incredible sights, but Aït Benhaddou is easily one of its star attractions, and not just because it happens to be a famous Hollywood haunt! This fortified village is UNESCO World Heritage Site and an exemplary example of 17-century architecture in Morocco.
During its heyday, the ksar was part of an old caravan route between Marrakech and the Sahara. Back then it was a hub for traders passing through with their goods, but even today it draws visitors from far and wide, only this time the travellers are tourists that want to transport themselves to the past for an afternoon or so. In its way, Aït Benhaddou is still a vital part of Ounilla Valley.
While it may seem frozen in time, on closer inspection you’ll find the passageways of this walled city are alive with arts and crafts, traditional culture native to this part of the country and a handful of families still live within its walls. Artisans, traders and locals will welcome you warmly to Aït Benhaddou.
Don’t take our word for it, experience a taste of southern Morocco’s heritage and glorious past by discovering Aït Benhaddou. If you’re a film lover, you might even recognise some of the facades featured in this video. There are so many reasons to visit this fascinating North African country, and the ancient village of Aït Benhaddou is an excellent reason indeed.

Experience Morocco: Hiking and Trekking
If you’ve always dreamed of exploring Morocco, you may not know where to start. After all, Morocco is a country for those seeking to reconnect with nature, relax by a pool, or dive into bustling markets alike. However, anyone planning a trip to Morocco needs to consider adding the Atlas Mountains to their itinerary.
The Atlas Mountains are actually a series of mountain ranges. These peaks extend across Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia, and hiking or trekking in them is a treat, no matter what your experience or ability. Exploring this area means everything from hiking steep cliffs to wandering alongside streams and rivers.
Those adventurers lucky enough to explore this region in Morocco have the opportunity to climb to the Atlas Mountains’ highest peak: Toubkal. Located in Toubkal National Park, the highest point reaches a height of 4,167 metres. Climb with assistance from local porters, join a group tour, or attempt to discover the Atlas Mountains on your own. The satisfaction of reaching the top is almost as incredible as the views you’ll find there.
The area surrounding Morocco’s Atlas Mountains includes the Sahara Desert: not to be missed by anyone travelling to Morocco. Explore the area on foot, or, if you’re feeling daring, try a guided camel ride and do things the old-fashioned way. It’s a must for anyone who’s ever dreamed of visiting this north-African gem.
If Morocco is next on your list, or even if you’re just dreaming of endless desert and gorgeous views, we hope this video can give you a bit of a taste of what Morocco’s Atlas Mountains have to offer. If you simply can’t wait to explore these historic and gorgeous cities, you know what to do: it’s time to plan your trip to Morocco.

Kasbah's in Agdz, Southern Morocco. Yep, that's spelled correctly. Ep. 9.
Agdz (pronounced Agdaz) is just 2km from the main road that takes tourists from Marrakesh & Ouarzazate to the desert. Yet few make the short detour to check it out. It seems a lack of attention has meant that Agdz has maintained an authentic aura to it.

Whether You Love or Hate Travel Tours, Listen to TourRadar's CEO Travis Pittman
Whether you're into travel tours or not, you should listen to Travis Pittman, the CEO of TourRadar.
I've always been skeptical and resistant to tours. I've always preferred independent travel.
Travis makes a pretty convincing argument why TourRadar is a compelling platform and marketplace.
TourRadar aggregates 1,000 tour operators with 30,000 different trips all over global.
About 70% of those who book with TourRadar are females, especially solo female travelers.
Group sizes vary from 6 to 50 people.
TourRadar focuses on regions, not cities. For instance, you'd search for Tuscany or Italy, not just Florence. Tours last at least 3 days. The sweet spot for them is about 12 days. So if you only want a tour of Paris, don't use TourRadar.
Travis reveals:
How TourRadar makes money.
What's a common error people make when booking a tour.
What kind of recourse you have when a tour bombs.
How he got started.
How much venture capital TourRadar has taken in.
What's TourRadar's strategic direction for 2019 and beyond.
This is episode #22.

Vietnam Travel Guide: Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ho Chi Minh
Gorgeous beaches, fascinating and complicated history, incredible food, lush nature; Vietnam is a country that truly has it all. Whether this country is first or fiftieth on your list, our travel guide has all the information you need to know if you’re planning (or dreaming of planning!) a trip to Vietnam.
Leave your expectations behind if you’re heading to Vietnam: here, you’ll eat noodles for breakfast, do your shopping in the middle of the night, and discover a country with a new story around every corner.
Hanoi more than delivers on urban excitement. If you’re looking for unique and mouth-watering food, the night markets of the Vietnamese capital should be your very first stop. You can enjoy a zippy ride on a scooter, all the street-food you can eat, and a night exploring the rapid development of this modern city. From trendy clubs to traditional puppet shows, experience a nightlife that’s all Vietnam’s own, and eat and drink the night away with locals and visitors alike!
Of course, Vietnam isn’t all fast-paced cities and rooftop bars. For a slower pace, head to Ha Long Bay and sail alongside limestone islets, with their lush rainforests towering above your head. The water is emerald-green, matching the vibrant greenery, and a sailing excursion here is like nothing else you’ve experienced before! A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the islets of Ha Long Bay are said have been thrown into the bay by a dragon protecting the people of Vietnam. Take a junk boat tour for a close encounter, or try scuba diving or snorkelling in the bay!
You’ll find a new adventure around every corner in Vietnam. From breakfast in the Bình Tây Market and a secret tunnel system in Ho Chi Minh City, to sailing along the Mekong Delta in a traditional basket boat, you can find your perfect trip - no matter what that looks like - somewhere in Vietnam.
There’s no time like the present to start planning an adventure of your own in this majestic country, so why not start today? Head over to TourRadar to explore the range of tours available, or watch more of our videos exploring Vietnam if you still haven’t gotten enough of seeing the beautiful views and incredible adventures you could be having.

LYRICS:
Parti con la voglia di - non tornare più -
dimenticati a casa pregiudizi e paure perché
ciò che scoprirai sarà un mondo diverso
da quello che tutti, vogliono-farti-credere
Non partire non andare in Marocco
ci sono i marocchini, dai su non esser sciocco
saranno tutti ladri, assassini, accendini
