Explore Colorado: Aspen Grottos
Hike Grottos trail nine miles from Aspen. One mile loop, explore ice caves, waterfalls, and Roaring Fork river. Limited parking.
Things to do Aspen Colorado Grottos
As part of the Things to do in Colorado with kids - Family Travel Fever takes the 360 camera to Aspen Colorado.
If you want to view in 360 with your virtual reality (VR) select seating and view in cardboard. You can look all around and experience it as we did.
This place is super popular in the summer and the parking lot was full but we were able to find a spot. We hiked the Grottos trail into the swimming holes you see in the footage.
This is on one of the best free things to do for families near Aspen. Who doesn't love an easy hike and water to swim in.
This video is filmed in late summer when the Roaring Fork River is low.
Cation: Spring runoff will make swimming very dangerous in the river. The undercurrents are treacherous. But Hiking and the views are magnificent spring through fall.Because Independence Pass is closed in the winter (October - May)
Make sure to bring a picnic, sunscreen and a towel. Because you will want to spend all day here playing.
The Grottos on White River National Forest is on Highway 82 about 7miles southeast of Aspen towards Independence Pass.

Things to do in Aspen CO. The Grottos.
On vacation and playing at the Grottos swimming holes in Aspen, CO
The waters are usually higher this time but the winter was mild. It can be dangerous in certian areas but other water holes Arte slow and amazing. The parking area is usually full this time of year (June) but there are always people coming and going that you will more than likely find a place to park all day long. This was filmed with an Insta360 One.
Independence pass Aspen Colorado
This is the second highest paved road in the state of Colorado. Nearly 30 miles of dramatic riding. Narrow paths takes you past shimmering aspen groves crystal clear waterfalls and above tree line to breathtaking vistas of the Sawatch Mountains.

Devils Chair Trail - Day hike with my family at the Devils punch bowl
Went on a day hike with my family. I always go on the circle trail every time I come here.. So we decided to get on the Devils Chair trail, we never done it and finally we did. It was a nice hike. We found areas where I would like to explore off trail. Also it was my sons first hike at 5 months old. I will definitely show I'm more as he grows. Thanks for watching
