Established in 1992, Grovewood Gallery showcases American-made art and craft by more than 400 artists from across the United States. The gallery is located in Grovewood Village - which is housed in the historic weaving and woodworking complex of Biltmore Industries - adjacent to The Omni Grove Park Inn. The 11-acre property, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, also includes working artist studios, a sculpture garden, Golden Fleece restaurant, the Biltmore Industries Homespun Museum, and Asheville's only antique car museum.

Winds Gusts Help Make Music in Downtown Ashevi
ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Friday in Asheville, winds gusted up to 40 to 45 mph, but one of the prettier things blowing in the wind were the wind chimes.
Outside the L.O.F.T. in downtown Asheville, those in the area could hear the chimes from half-a-block away.
They kind of remind me of if a fairy was talking, or reminds me of the sound Tinkerbell always makes in those movies, Aislin Freya Pax Thompson said.
With every kind of wind chime, they form an urban orchestra complete with woodwinds, percussion and brass.
As far as sales go, employee Brinna Dessert says they're sweet and sour.
It's harder to make everything stay looking nice, but it's definitely like 'Oh I hear wind chimes, let's go check that out,' Dessert said.
At Grovewood Gallery, Friday was the perfect day to show off a wind forest. Owner Harvey Patton says his dad discovered Lyman Whitaker's sculptures driving through Utah. Windy days enable the sculptures to mesmerize customers.
I like the movement, the patterns, they're hypnotic. They're just very peaceful, and nice to look at, Patton said.
Winding through the forest might make you winded, but Friday was not a bad day in Asheville to enjoy the weather.
Even on Wind-pocalypse, Dessert joked.
At one point at L.O.F.T., they had to take some glass inside, because of the wind.
